Now Metaro; a small river in Umbria, flowing into the Adriatic Sea, memorable by the defeat and death of Hasdrubal, the brother of Hannibal, on its banks, B.C. 207.

Now Marro; a river on the eastern coast of Bruttium, at whose mouth was the town of Metaurum.
