ἐπεδείξατο δὲ καὶ τοῖς Ἕλλησιν ὅτι θεοὺς οὐ νομίζει. οὐ γὰρ ὡς δεδιὼς τὰ πεποιημένα, ἀλλ᾽ ὡς θαρρῶν, ναυκληρίᾳ ἐπιθέμενος τὴν θάλατταν ἔπλει. ὁ δὲ θεὸς ὑπῆγεν αὐτόν, ἵνα ἀφικόμενος εἰς τὰ ἁμαρτήματα ἐπὶ τῇ ἐμῇ προφάσει δοίη δίκην.
