GNS - Shampoo & Conditioner - Thoughts and Review*

GNS Professional Deep Moisturising
Shampoo and Conditioner
Thoughts and review

Hi my lovelies! Happy Sunday to you all;
Today I'm bringing a review to you about a Hair care brand I was contacted about which always makes me excited because I'm forever looking for new products to help treat my hair on those off days! GNS is a brand that had been established in 2014 and the creator, Sandy Gordon, who's a keen wearer of hair-extensions, wanted to find hair products that could treat both extensions and natural hair. She created products which became a benefit for salons and clients alike due to the much needed gap in the market.

My hair type is quite a mixture due to having naturally thick hair, sometimes quite dry but also it's been coloured for many years so to re-boost the health and moisture is something I look for when trying any new product. I put this duo to the test and here are my overall findings!

All comments and opinions are 100% my own and I've not been paid to say them.

GNS Ultra Moisturising Shampoo
Review

  • First of all, I love the style of the packaging, it is simple to open with a press function on the lid which props open the cap to then be poured.
  • The information is fully displayed on the bottle, including directions for use and ingredients.
  • I think that this is a great amount of product too because a little simply goes a long way, at 250ml I've been using this on a regular basis and it's barely gone down!
  • I think the main thought I've had on this shampoo has to be the scent.. I am in love with it! It smells just like a vanilla cake and seems good enough to eat, although you shouldn't!
  • All the ingredients are natural for example Macadamia oil and shea butter and I've noticed how refreshed my hair was during the first few washes; The scent also lasted much longer than I expected too which is a bonus.
  • The shampoo has kept my hair shinier and has helped seal any split hairs I've had feeling fully restored to it's best.
  • Personally for the price I do find it quite expensive compared to other brands I've tried, If it was more affordable I'm sure I'd purchase this regularly.
Currently this item is available to purchase through their direct website at a reduced price at £10.49 -  Buy Here

GNS Deep Moisturising Conditioner
Review
  • Just like the shampoo, the packaging is sleek and informative containing all necessary information such as directions of use.
  • This is perfect to use alongside the Shampoo because it is packed with the helpful ingredients to tackle dry/coarse hair. I found the conditioner to make my hair feel glossy not at all greasy especially within the roots.
  • I used a small amount for my hair and left it on for a couple of minutes, I wouldn't recommend doing this all of the time, but just when you feel like your hair is in need of a treat it makes a wonderful hair mask!
  • The scent of this conditioner is just the same sugary sweet goodness as the shampoo! It really is an addictive fragrance and makes me excited to use it!
  • With using this with the shampoo too it's a perfect pairing, because I have coloured hair I can worry on the way certain products react with it but this seemed to lock in the colour well from root to tip.
The conditioner is available to buy through the GNS website which is also reduced in price so get it while it's on offer lovelies! Buy Here

I'd recommend this range to anyone who has dry or heat damaged hair, including those who have hair extensions I'd love to hear if you've used this product on them and how the results have been in the comments section below!

Phil Smith - Be Gorgeous - Hello Moisture:- Shampoo & Conditioner
Thoughts and Review

Phil Smith Hello Moisture Shampoo (350ml) - £3.50*
Phil Smith Hello Moisture Conditioner (250ml) - £3.50*

Hey sweeties! I hope your week has been going well, and with that I'm getting back on the blogging wagon and going to bring to you new posts!
Today's post is another Phil Smith duo, the wonderful Hello Moisture shampoo and conditioner nourishing repair set. This set is aimed for hair types such as dry and damaged to re-new the moisture and health back into it.
These products can be purchased from your local Sainsburys store or on the online website at an affordable price for salon quality products.

All comments and opinions are 100% my own and I've not been paid to say them.

Phil Smith - Hello Moisture Shampoo*
  • I love the packaging of the Phil Smith products in general and this one didn't fail to amaze me. It's eye-catching and the wording fits nicely with the colour scheme.
  • All information is there on the packaging including directions of use and the key properties of the product and how it shall help the hair's condition.
  • The product has a flip open top to deposit the shampoo from, but can also be unscrewed for an easier pour.
  • The shampoo has a clean and fresh scent to it, but it doesn't last very long on the hair itself.
  • I use the shampoo twice when I wash my hair, on the second application it lathers a lot nicer and I can feel it's effect; due to suffering with dry hair, the more I've used the product the better I've seen the results.
  • The only thing is that I wouldn't overuse this product, only in a serious need of treatment for my hair is when I would use the combination together for intensive deep moisture.

Phil Smith - Hello Moisture Conditioner*

  • The font and wording has been clearly displayed on the packaging; stating the directions of use and its abilities to help banish dryness.
  • The bottle is handy due to it being a squeeze bottle and has a flip top for easy opening and application.
  • The scent of the conditioner is practically the same as the shampoo, a clean and fresh fragrance and I can mildly smell the Shea Butter which is part of its ingredients, it's subtle but doesn't last very long when the hair is dried.
  • The formula is quite rich, I only applied a small amount to my palm and then worked it into my hair after using the shampoo; For a more intensive treatment I left the conditioner on for much longer as I suffer with heat damaged hair from time to time.
  • When I washed out the product I felt how glossy and sleek it was to the touch and a difference that it made from root to tip.
  • I'd recommend to use this product for dry/frizzy hair and do an intensive treatment at least once a week to give it that boost it needs.

Richard Ward - The Chelsea Collection Review*

Richard Ward
The Chelsea Collection

I was very thrilled to hear from Twitter, about a new hair care collection that has been exclusive to all Waitrose stores. Created by the celebrity hairdresser, Richard Ward, the Chelsea collection hit the shelves and I've been very impressed with my own product samples sent out for review.

All comments and opinions are 100% my own and I've not been paid to say them.

I've been excited to try out these products of course, seeing as I love to keep my hair maintained and by trial and error, hair products for me is sometimes a struggle when ensuring everything is covered, e.g. dry hair, thick hair, coloured and highlighted maintaining.

Initial Thoughts
Richard Ward Keratin Sleek Shampoo

-£5.99 for 250ml use within 12 months of purchase-

Upon receiving this product, I instantly noticed the design and style used for this collection. 'Sleek' and sophisticated the range had a complete professional feel which was actually Richard's intention, he wanted this range of his products to bring a professional salon feel to anyone's home.
The shampoo contains his key ingredient, Keratin, which helps to create healthy hair by binding and interacting to re-build hair’s natural fibres to give the lustrous look Richard is famous for creating.
When using the shampoo I was delighted by the subtle yet fragrant scent, also containing Lychee and Strigosa seed I massaged and rinsed doing this twice, feeling how strong my hair became in a matter of moments! The texture of my hair while washing felt smooth and tangle free.

Initial Thoughts
Richard Ward Keratin Sleek Conditioner

-£5.99 for 250ml use within 12 months of purchase-

After thoroughly rinsing out the shampoo, I then used the conditioner and applied as directed, massaging from root to tips for 3 minutes. The scent even of the conditioner was beautiful with notes of amber, white jasmine, grapefruit, pear and apple! Using the shampoo and conditioner together personally gives the overall effect of glossier and stronger hair. Since the weather has been pretty up and down here within the UK, My hair has been awful for frizz and de-hydration so this really has been a hair repair!
After blow drying my hair I noticed how glossy it looked and gave my hair more life and strength.

-------------------------------------------------------

Initial Thoughts
Richard Ward Keratin Rehab intense rejuvenating treatment

-£5.99 for 150ml use within 12 months of purchase-

The keratin rehab is a treatment which I also received to try; Its a conditioning treatment with vitamin and silk protein for intense re-hydration. I used this after washing my hair twice with the sleek shampoo, using a generous amount of this treatment through length to tips. It advices 5 minutes in terms of leaving it on the hair before washing it out, or if your hair is in need of complete deep re-hydration 30 minutes maximum. This should be only used every two weeks for the best results!
I personally shall not be using this so often with the shampoo too as alone it has better results for my hair, but of course this shall differ with different hair types!

Natures Healthbox - Avalon Organics Shampoo & Conditioner Review *

Today's post is featuring a wonderful new company that is called, Natures Healthbox, they specialise in limited to organic, eco-friendly and natural products from skin products to home cleaning!
I had the opportunity as a blogger to experience the Natures Healthbox experience by reviewing products that can be purchased through their site. I was kindly sent both of these hair care products, which were received nicely packaged with bright tissue paper and green shredding which really reflected the organic and eco theme so well!

Both of these hair products are the Avalon Organics brand, the shampoo and conditioner both focus on giving the hair more shine naturally with a Ylang Ylang base and enriched with mica minerals, babassu oil, plus vitamin E, panthenol and arginine.

Both bottles are 325ml (11 FL OZ) and clearly mark how the product will help to improve the hair, directions of use and a list of ingredients but it's also noted that they don't contain artificial colours, synthetic fragrances or parabens. With this is mind i was very eager to try them out! My natural hair colour is a dark blonde, but with having highlights etc i have focused a lot on coloured hair shampoos and conditioners. Sometimes i feel my hair can get quite dry and dull at times, i used the shampoo twice, made sure it was thoroughly massaged in and rinsed throughout, to then add the conditioner from the roots up and left it to absorb efficiently.

The scent was indeed something i wasn't too sure of, but i grew to like it over time! from drying my hair i instantly saw a difference, it was much more glossy, and the blondness enhanced so much more; it made my hair feel so much healthier due to the friendly ingredients within.

I've had so much positive thoughts from using these products and i'll be sure to check out the rest of their eco-friendly line!

These products are £5.99 each which i think for the amount of product you get it's a reasonable price! Please check out their brand new website - http://www.natureshealthbox.co.uk/
