2008 ... the summer I moved from Akron, Ohio to the Kansas Oklahoma border. These are some of my favorite photos from my early days here on the prairie. These photos were taken with my old Fujifilm Finepix camera, before I received my Nikon in December 2008. :-)
blue skies with fluffy clouds... famous in Kansas!

a cicada sheds its outer skin
barn swallows enjoy front porch livin'
even Ringo prefers the front porch
Ringo and Boogie chillin' together
sunflowers... a welcome sight in Kansas

clouds cast shadows over a pasture

just the first of many beautiful sunsets

Lovely photos Susan. Those cicadas are so tough for us to find near their shell. They usually hide high up on the trees here--tough to see.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful... So, 2 years, can you imagine a better life???
ReplyDeleteFabulous pics! I love it when the clouds cast shadows over the fields, especially on a hot day.

Pee. Ess. Ess. - we LOVE your pictures 'specially the one with the cicada comin' out. Mom has one too but it's all blurrified. She's got the itch for a new camera and that didn't help it any. ;0=)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. You must have a real eye to catch a cicada just coming out. I love the scenes of Kansas. Have not been there except to pass through. It looks like a beautiful place and you know how to make it so.
