MONZO IS TERRIBLE TERRIBLE DONT BOTHER

Good luck getting your money back after disputing a payment ! Monzo is good up until a point something fradulent happens in your account. Rubbish bank, you're better off with the more established banks. Also customer service, support team, specialist team are all.. guess what ?useless. They don't properly investigate disputes and just send you a copy paste response that doesn't actually help. They did that in my case- not worth the headache

Great all around!

Been using Monzo for years now and I found it really easy, reliable and not overly packed with features. The ability to see spending across the banks and cards is great for budgeting and being in control. With recent ad campaign it feels like they are ready to accelerate their operations and this is exciting!

Im very happy that i am using monzo

I have been using Monzo for a long time, I am very happy, I have never had any problems with it, other than that, whenever I have a small problem, they are always here to help me in record time.Thank you so much.

Easy to use

love monzo, shows my spendings in a helpful visual graphic and no fees when i travel abroad for spending. Savings pots are good however not high interest. Been with them for about a year now had no issues.

Monzo.. the way to go!

I was with another bank all my years…I then switched when I found Monzo about 2 years ago… best bank account ever, easy to manage my work salary and benefit money.. bonus is I can get it 1 day early, would never change to another bank, my children can also have a bank account and I can also start investing… try it! You won’t be sorry .

Great Experience

Had Monzo for years now and is far superior than any of the traditional banks. Providing far better interest rates on savings, easy to manage pots for storing and moving money, the app itself is miles ahead of any of the clunky traditional banking apps I have used. Additionally, it is so easy to use the card abroad and really easy to split any bills especially if other users are also on Monzo.

Don’t go near them!

Been a member of Monzo for 6 years. Asked for a new £50 card 4 days ago… it arrived no problem, then tonight they told me that their closing my account ( they wont provide a reason) and I have 8 weeks to bank somewhere else. It’s so rude it’s funny! Anyway telling people they don’t want to bank with them is fine but taking £50 for a new card days before shutting me down is fraudulent(?!)

Instant cash and protection if needed…

I was able to take my money in Morocco without any problems. The card is pre-paid which means I can control how much I spend. I get automatic notification once my card has been used so if anyone tried to scam it, I feel protected.

Best banking app I have used

Best banking app I have used. Easy to use and very fast withdrawals too.
Love the cash back feature when shopping with certain shops online. Makes such a difference to get something back from a bank for a change!

Great customer service no matter where…

Great customer service no matter where you could be in the world, at any particular time! I have found myself in a few sticky situations while travelling but Monzo customer service team still managed to find a way to 'save my day' 🙏

It offers you ways to move your money around without having to lock it away, however can help you stop spending or move money to an isa

Good bank overall

Good bank overall, just annoying if you need to speak to anyone as everything is done via live chat!
Also it charges you £1 to pay your money in and you have to mess about finding a place that does pay point (post office wont allow payments in) but it is free if you pay for premium i think it is 4 free paying in transactions.


So i would use this bank for benefits (if your on them) as you can recieve your money one working day early (4pm)

But for other things id reccomend having another bank aswell - especially if you like to pay cash into the bank.

We’re charged for every deposit a Monzo customer makes, so we pass on some of these costs to you. This means we can offer cash deposits in a sustainable way. I was scammed out of £8000

I was scammed out of £8000, Monzo determined, a day after I submitted the report, that it "wasn't fraud".

I didn't really expect them to be able to reclaim the money I lost but I was genuinely shocked when they decided I wasn't the victim of fraud.

It's hard enough losing £8000 in a situation like this but then for the bank to just completely dismiss this was just astonishing.

And a brief rundown I purchased goods 4 months ago, I didn't receive the goods offered refund 1 month ago haven't received refund. Textbook payday loan scam. Monzo view it differently though apparently.

The App is amazing for banking but just know that you are on your own if something like this happens to you.

Good and bad about monzo card

I am able to put money on my card at the local shops instead of going into Musselburgh the only thing is I didn’t realise you could only put x amount in and when you’ve reached your limit you have to wait 180 days till you could add more at the shop

You can deposit £5-£300 in one go, and you can pay in a maximum of £1,000 every six months. No interest paid

Well having transferred a hefty some of money to Monzo and upgraded to the Perks account on 22/6. Still no interest and I currently have an official complaint with them. Apparently they have until late September to deal with this. Absolutely disgraceful and customer service shocking. So I have now paid out £14 for a Greggs pasty and railcard which I have not claimed anyway, not why I got it. Only because of the 4.6% interest which has not been paid😡. Truly awful as I am retired and just have a state pension!
