Episode 38: MPS Pinkalicious Blog Hop - Fave Color

Welcome to the My Pink Stampers Pinkalicious Design Team Blog Hop!  If you are here from Tracy's blog you're in the right spot.  If you need to start at the beginning head on over to the My Pink Stampers site.  The theme of this blog hop is to use your favorite color plus the color black (and a white/cream color if needed).  You can create any type of project.

For my project I decided to make a shaped card, which isn't my forte, but I attempted it.  I'm really happy w/ it although I think I cheated a bit.  My favorite color is a dark burgundy red.  W/ black my card would have been pretty dark so I added a little green and blue.  :)  My sentiment is from Robyn's new stamp set called 'More Faithful Sayings'.  I love it!  It has the sweetest sayings.

I thought that this card could be used for a House Warming card or a Thank you/Thinking of You card.

For my blog candy I am giving away one of my favorite My Pink Stamper stamps 'Family & Friends'.  I probably use it the most.  To be eligible to win please leave 1 comment on this post with a way to get a hold of you.  You do not have to be a follower to win.  This will close Monday Feb 14th at 10pm MST.  I'll announce the winner on Tuesday the 15th.

You're next stop is Cristi with Scrappin' 5 Little Cupcakes.  I know she has something wonderful for you to see.  Enjoy the rest of the hop!

If you get lost along the way here is the line up:

Tacky Tuesdays Challenge #1 - Lettuce

Hi Crafters!  I'm participating in a new challenge site called Tacky Tuesdays Challenges.  What they do is choose a specific cut from the Cricut cartridges that can be tacky, really not a lot of purpose or a cut to be used in a specific way that might be different or tacky.  The challenge is once a month and is announced on the 3rd Tuesday of each month and runs for 2 weeks where a winner will be chosen.  This is run through Facebook so you don't need a blog to participate.  If you're interested go to Tacky Tuesdays Facebook page and request to join.  Easy!  :)

This months project is to use the Lettuce cut from the Freshly Picked Cricut cartridge and use the word "Lettuce" on the project as well.  Fun!

This project is a little like my New Years project.  I'm not planning on giving this to anyone so I made only the card front w/ my scraps.

Recipe:
Freshly Picked Cricut Cartdridge
Peachy Keen Everyday Character Faces stamp set
Seeing Spots Cuttlebug Embossing folder
Sentiment made w/ computer

Pink Floral Card

I used the Freshly Picked cartridge for this card. The flowers come w/ greenery on the cartridge but I opted out of using it. All paper and ribbon is from Papertrey Inc. I used the bow easy tool for the bow. Loving this little tool. I now have cute bows! :D I put dashed lines on the flowers w/ my Uni-ball Signo white gel pen. I used the new embossing folder called Polka Dots.

Heartfelt Thanks

Here is a thank you card I made for a lady in my church who taught my Primary class for me on Sunday. The cut is from the new Freshly Picked cartridge. I couldn't find a patterned paper I was in love with for the flowers so I found a color I liked and then stamped it with a background stamp & Versamark and then clear embossed it. The ribbon is from PTI. For the pot the original color of it was a light apricot color cardstock. I didn't like the lightness of it so I used Tim Holtz Tea Dye ink and brushed it on. I used the Bow Easy for the bow, my first time. I really like this nice little tool. :D The stamp is from the My Pink Stamper Simply Sweet Occasions stamp set.

I got the Bow Easy from the Gina K. Designs site. You can see it HERE. She also has a video HERE on how to use it as well.
