Zoya Color of the Month May 2024: Paisley

 *press sample*

Zoya Paisley (2 coats)

Hi everyone! Tonight I've got the latest Zoya COTM, Paisley. This is available now for $12 through the Zoya website, and you can get free shipping and 25% off other items in your order with code PAISLEY.  The polish is a bright orchid purple creme that covers completely in just 2 easy coats. In the bottle, the polish looks a little streaky, but this didn't come out in the application at all. It does dry a bit satin because it's so bright, so you'll need a topcoat for a shiny finish. It's a super pretty color, and it's on my toes right now.

You can pick this up right now on the Zoya website (I just looked, and last month's shade Candy is still available as well). You can find out more about Zoya on their websiteFacebookTwitter, or Instagram pages. They often have sales, so check their social media pages periodically.

Naps and Nails 90's Halloween Quad 2023 Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

Hello hello! It's a short work week and I'm loving it. I hope those of you in the US had a wonderful Labor Day on Monday. I rested up after my travels to San Francisco and I'm fine with that. My husband's birthday is this weekend so we'll be celebrating. Tonight I've got a 4-piece Halloween Collection inspired by Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Doug, and The Wild Thornberries. I was born in the 80's, so I was a little on the older side for a couple of these shows, but I definitely watched some Doug, Hey Arnold, Rocko's Modern Life, and The Angry Beavers on Nickelodeon. These will be available on Sunday, September 10th on the Naps and Nails website for $13 each or all 4 for just $50.

Shall we get a better look at these beauties?

Zoya Easy Neons 2021 Collection Swatches and Reviews

 *press samples*

Hi everyone! I'm just now finally getting around to posting some Zoya polishes, and I have a few more to come because I'm behind. On the bright side, Zoya keeps their polishes around (very few limited editions), so these are still available. The Easy Neons Collection is a 6-piece set of neons that claim to be opaque in 2 coats with no special base coats needed and a streak-free application. Neons are notoriously difficult to apply and photograph, but I didn't have too much of an issue with these. Will these live up to their lofty claims? These are available now on the Zoya website for $12 each.

The set features 2 flake jellies with contrasting shimmer and a full-coverage micro glitter polish. Each polish will retail for $10 and will be restocked if anything sells out. Static Lacquer August 2019 Polish Pickup/Indie Pickup At the Carnival: Off to Neverland

*press sample*

Hi guys! The last PPU shade I have to share this month is from Static Lacquer and Stacy was inspired by this amazing photo she took while at the San Diego Fair. Apparently this same swing ride used to be at Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch, hence the name. Off to Neverland will be available this Friday at 11:00 AM EST through Monday, August 5th at 11:59 PM EST (unless this one sells out...which it might) on the PPU site. And I almost forgot to mention that Static Lacquer has a magnet with this month's polish. You may be used to the smaller magnets available from Static Lacquer, but this month Stacy tackled a new, larger single magnet. Don't worry, I have some comparison photos so you can get a better idea of the size.

Static Lacquer Off to Neverland (3 coats)
Price: $12
Cap: US 75 UK 25

Wow, what a bright beauty! My friends and family are used to me wearing some crazy nail polishes, so it takes a lot for them to comment on my nails. Can you believe I got 3 compliments while wearing this one? I mean, this one isn't subtle. Off to Neverland is a neon watermelon pink base with holo flakies, orange/pink/gold crystal flakies, and green shimmer. While it has lots of extra goodies added for dimension and interest, the bright base really steals the show. It does dry slightly dull from the neon pigment, so make sure to add a shiny topcoat. The formula was great, and I used 3 thin coats to cover my VNL.

(oops, when I opened the package the packaging for the magnet was on the end and got cut...sorry about that!)

(This photo really shows the shimmer and flakes in Off to Neverland)

Static Lacquer Off to Neverland Magnet
Price: $4.50
Cap: US 30 UK 10

As you can see, this month's neodymium magnet is several times larger than the ones previous released. It's slightly larger than a quarter, and has a diameter of ~1". I immediately put mine on a Helmer, but they can easily be used on refrigerators, whiteboard calendars, or in the office.

This one has a cap of just 75 bottles, so there is definitely a chance this could sell out. If not all the bottles available for the UK sell out when the pre-order closes over there, they will be added back to the US site for everyone to have a second chance. The site is currently open for wishlisting, so make sure to add this one and put your order in early. You can learn more about Static Lacquer on their websiteFacebookGroup, and Instagram pages, while you can find more about PPU on their Facebook page and website.

Noodles Nail Polish Anniversary Trio and Crelly Collab with Jodi's Polish: Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

Hi guys! I know, long time, no post. I've been enjoying working on my fitness, as well as my polymer clay hobby. Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere; I have a few posts coming up soon. I know a lot of bloggers have quit the past few years, but don't worry, you can't get away from me that easily. Tonight I have the 2 collections releasing this Friday, June 21st from Noodles Nail Polish. The first is a 6-piece collection in collaboration with the awesome Jodi's Polish from YouTube. Make sure to check out her channel and while you're there, hit that subscribe button so you don't miss anything. The second set is an anniversary trio celebrating a whopping 6 years for Noodles Nail Polish! Congratulations, Natalie! Both sets will be available on Friday at 5 PM EST in the NNP website, and each polish will retail for $9.50. It's going to be a picture-heavy post, so shall we get to the good stuff?

Emily de Molly Nail Colour Swatches and Review: Now and Later

Emily de Molly Now and Later (2 coats)

Hi guys! I've been super busy with work, but I just wanted to do a quick review of an Emily de Molly color. I've been sitting on these swatches for a few months, and I have no idea why it's taken me so long to show these. I believe these were also taken with my old camera. I don't know if you guys noticed or not, but I got a new camera earlier this year. I've been super happy with the results, and I hope you are, too. This is the first time I'm showing Emily de Molly on the blog, but I've gone back and made a few purchases because I've been so impressed with the complexity of their polishes. They're an Australian brand, but don't worry, they have a U.S. distribution shipping center so you won't be paying that outrageous international shipping.

Remember the candy Now and Later? I have a love/hate relationship with them because I like that they last a long time, but I always want to chew it before it's soft enough. Didn't know you were here for candy reviews, huh? Now and Later the polish is a bright neon pink that verges on coral, with small hexagonal silver glitter, and a gold shimmer finish. Emily de Molly has extremely interesting color combinations and often combines different finishes to really make them different than other indies. I used 2 coats for the swatches above, and I had no issues with the formula.

I bought this one on sale for only $6, and it's still available! It's totally worth it, and do yourself a favor and pick yourself up a couple extra while you're there...you deserve it. You can find out more about Emily de Molly on their US/international website, AU website, Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter pages.

Static Lacquer Summer 2018 Neon Collection Swatches & Reviews

*press samples*

Hi guys, TGIF! I'm back yet again this week to show you another new collection releasing this weekend. Mace Polish has changed names to Static Lacquer, and they are starting things off with a bang. It's a 6-piece set of neons that are black light reactive and also watermarble. Also releasing at the same time is their Crystalline (fast-drying 5-free topcoat, $7) and Overcast (10-free matte topcoat, $7) which I used for the swatches below. The names for each polish is inspired by the song The Afterglow from the band Silverstein. If you are interested, you can check out the song here:

The collection will release this Sunday, July 29th in the Static Lacquer site for $10 each or $46 for the whole collection. Neons are notoriously hard to capture, but I did my very best to show these as color accurate as possible. Without further ado, let's do this!

Noodles Nail Polish Summer 2018 Neon Trio and Crelly Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

This is almost unheard of (for me)...3 days of blogging in a row! Taking the week off to grieve really put me behind. You wouldn't guess it, but I'm actually on vacation right now. My family is watching the animals while my husband and I visit Savannah, GA. I was just on the beach in Tybee Island a few hours ago and figured I should get my post up. I've been excited to show tonight's polishes since Natalie from Noodles Nail Polish mentioned she had some neons she was testing. She released a brighter trio at Polish Con and all leftovers were very quickly snatched up. The trio + crelly releasing this Saturday, July 28th at noon ET will retail for $9.50 each (only sold individually) and will restock at the same time on Aug. 1st should they sell out. Oh, and all of them are black light reactive, but more on that later. Follow me after the break for lots more photos.

Color Infinity April 2018 Birds of Paradise Collection Swatches & Reviews: Part I

Hi guys! Honestly, I was feeling a bit burnt out and uninspired last week. Instead of giving you some lackluster work, I decided to take a little time off for some TLC. Tonight I have a new brand on the blog, and Color Infinity has been on my radar since their debut at the end of 2017. Their April collection was inspired by birds of paradise, and I knew I was buying the collection. It's a 5-piece collection with a variety of colors and finishes. Their bottles are 12 mL, but I think they used to be smaller. There is a new collection released each month with a pre-order, and if there are any overpours, they are released at the beginning of the next month's release. These colors are currently not available, but make sure to check the website on May 25th for the overpour. Shall we get a closer look?

Jesse's Girl Julie G Spring Trio Set 3

* press sample*

Hi guys! It's been a whole week since I've been able to blog, but I was again traveling for work (this time I was in Chicago). I was insanely busy the whole time I was gone, hence no blog post. Tonight I have the final Julie G set which is $10 for the trio on the Jesse's Girl website. While perusing the site I also noticed that they added a Unicorn Collection. A UNICORN COLLECTION! Shall we see how this last set stacks up? Go ahead and hit that "Read More" button for my thoughts.

Jesse's Girl Julie G Spring Trio Sets 1 and 2

*press samples*

Hi guys! It's Dancing With the Stars night, and I've been following it this season. Do you watch? Do you have any favorites? I have some extra special things I want to put up this week, so I thought I should get an early start. I have 3 different sets from Julie G (Jesse's Girl) to show you, and you get 3 polishes for $10 on their website. Each polish normally retails for $3.99 so you'll be saving a couple bucks buying the trio. Stay to end of the post for your chance to win a set directly from Jesse's Girl. All of the trios have one thing in common: neons! Well, some of them aren't true neons, but are on the verge of being one. I started this post yesterday, but I thought it would be helpful to see how the pinks and purples compare to each other so I put the first 2 sets together. Shall we see how they stack up?

Pahlish 5th Anniversary: Little Bread and Butterflies Swatches and Review

Pahlish Little Bread and Butterflies (3 coats)

Hi guys! I had every intention to post last night, but I had to go to a neighborhood get-together which lasted much longer than I expected. I don't have many plans this weekend, except for going to an Origins party. Influenster is promoting their newest release, and they inviting people for a VIP party (whatever that means). Tonight I have a polish that was released a few years ago from Pahlish, but Shannon asked the Facebook Group what colors they would want rereleased for their 5th anniversary.

Little Bread and Butterflies was recommended, and I knew I had to get it. It's a highlighter yellow neon with ultrachrome flakes. The base reminds me of one of my favorite neon yellows called Yellow Flame from Jessica Cosmetics. If you look at those swatches, please be kind...I posted those swatches 7 years ago and I feel like my blog is now better in every way (content, pictures, etc.). If you don't want your nails to stand out, then this one is probably not for you. It's a bit streaky and sheer on the first coat, but it builds up well in 3 coats.

This one is still on sale for $9.00 on the Pahlish website if you're interested. I love it and highly recommend it if you want a new neon color. Find out more about Pahlish on their websiteInstagram, and Facebook pages.

Fair Maiden Polish 2016 Feline Catty Collection Swatches and Review: Scar

Fair Maiden Scar (2 coats)

Hi guys! It's been too long! I was trying to blog last night, but our internet was being super slow. Instead of being frustrated for hours, I decided to just wait it out until tonight. Speaking of tonight, it's my 9-year wedding anniversary! Time flies and all of that, and I don't know what I'd do without Mr. Right on the Nail. I'd like to go ahead and continue on with my Fair Maiden polishes with the Feline Catty collection which is inspired by Disney movie cats. I love cats and I love Disney movies, but do I really remember that many Disney cats? We shall see...

Up first is Scar, which is a neon green with pink/red to purple/blue shimmer. So shimmertastic! The shimmer is definitely front and center with this one. Anyone know what Scar is named after? Nope, I had no clue and had to look it up. Apparently he's the bad guy from The Lion King:

Oh, that's right, I sort of remember The Lion King. I used 2 coats for the photos above, but the formula was slightly thick so make sure to wait an extra minute between coats. I really enjoy this one!

I bought the whole collection in mini bottles which retails for $36.90 and is still available now. If you want to stay up-to-date on all things Fair Maiden Polish, you can follow them on FacebookInstagram, or Twitter

Right on the Nail ~ LynBDesigns Summer 2015 The Vocab Collection Swatches and Reviews: Yas and Thirsty

 LynBDesigns

Hi guys, don't forget that my giveaway ends at midnight tonight! If you haven't entered, you still have a chance. I'm really excited that Dancing With the Stars is on tonight. I'm actually not really excited about the lineup this season, but that never stops me from watching. I think Scream Queen starts tomorrow so I'll give that a chance, too. Anyway, I must confess that the polishes I'm showing tonight aren't for sale right now. I'm so sorry, but I had no idea that they might be limited edition. They come from the Summer 2015 Vocab Collection that features extreme neon colors. Follow me after the break for more pictures and my thoughts.

Right on the Nail ~ China Glaze Summer 2015 Electric Nights Collection Swatches and Review: Red-y to Rave

China Glaze Red-y to Rave (3 coats)

Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of post yesterday, but work has been extremely busy/stressful all week. It doesn't help that I'm going on vacation tomorrow and I've been trying to play catch up all week. I digress.

I completely forgot that my husband bought be Red-y to Rave at my local nail supply store. It's a neon red/orange creme that reminds me of a traffic cone. Neon polishes are notoriously hard to capture, but I'm pretty happy with my swatches. I used 3 coats for the pictures above, but I know some people prefer to layer neon colors over a white base to make them stand out more (especially since some neon polishes have a bit of a jelly finish). Overall, I'm really happy with the colors I have from the Electric Nights collection.

The cheapest place to find China Glaze is through Transdesign for $3.25 each. Surprise, they also have the fall and Halloween collections available! You can also find them at your local Sally's Beauty Supply or Ulta stores where prices may vary. Get more info on China Glaze on their FacebookInstagram, or Twitter pages.

Right on the Nail ~ China Glaze Summer 2013 Sunsational Collection Swatches and Review: Neon & On & On

China Glaze Neon & On & On (3 coats)

Hi guys! I bought a few of the new China Glaze matte glitters, but first I have another polish from the 2013 summer collection to show. Back in May I really wanted some bright colors and thought these polishes were a little more recent than 2013 ( I didn't bother to look online before purchasing...my bad). I just knew based on the name that I didn't have it. Neon & On & On is a neon pink creme that is a bit brighter in real life compared to my pictures. You know how neon polishes are notoriously difficult to photograph. The formula was a bit of a pain and was a streaky mess and needed 3 coats. If you can get a good deal I may recommend this one, but you could probably find an alternative with a better formula.

You can find China Glaze polishes at your local Sally's Beauty Supply or Ulta stores where prices may vary. Get more info on China Glaze on their Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter pages.

Right on the Nail ~ Polish 'M Swatches and Review: Neonista

Polish 'M Neonista (3 coats)

I feel really bad about showing some of these crellies from Polish 'M because they sold out and aren't for sale anymore. Do you guys want me to show the rest of them? The set consists of 3 white crellies that contain different types and color of glitter. Neonista contains neon circle glitter with tons of iridescent flakes. Have I stated how much I love circle glitter? I used 3 coats for the swatches above, but you could definitely put one layer over a white polish. I just happen to like the subtle hints of color as I added layers. I made sure to leave the polish upside down for at least 20 minutes before applying it and I had no need to fish out the glitter. It's hard to see from the pictures, but Neonista also has a ton of iridescent flakes that mostly flash blue. I must say that I completely adore this color, especially since it is an affordable price ($8).

You can find Polish 'M on their storeFacebookInstagram, and Facebook Group (which I am a part of!) pages.
