5 Fireworks Crafts: Kid's Co-op
Anybody else already looking forward to the 4th of July? Here are 5 fun fireworks crafts from The Kid's Co-op:
Pony Bead American Flag
This American flag is easy to make with kids and it's a fun way to use beads. It also makes a cute patriotic refrigerator magnet in honor of July 4th.
Snap, Crackle, Pop 4th of July Candygram
Well, I don't know what to call this thing. Candygram? Party favor? Card? What would you call it? It's little treats with a 4th of July theme arranged on paper. Whatever you call it, it's cute to give to kids for the 4th of July and it's super easy and inexpensive to make too.
Drinking Straw American Flag Kid Craft
We have a big stash of plastic drinking straws because my children love them. I must like them too, because every time I see a color we don't have I buy them.
We used some of our colored drinking straws to make an easy American flag craft for the 4th of July.

American Flag Plant Marker: Craft for Kids
I received some goodies from Craft Project Ideas recently. Among other things, there were jumbo craft sticks, star stickers, and red glitter. It was the perfect opportunity for the kids and me to make some craft stick flags inspired by Ginger Snap Crafts to dress up our front porch for the 4th of July.
75+ Patriotic 4th of July Activities: Kid's Co-op
There's only a few weeks left until the 4th of July! I went through the Kid's Co-op archives and rounded up more than 75 fun activities, foods, and crafts to help you celebrate it with your kids:
10 Ways to Make Fireworks with Kids
With the 4th of July rapidly approaching, I've been looking for fun ways to make fireworks with my kids that are quiet and safe. Here are 10 of them:
Bald Eagle Handprint and Footprint Craft
One of my kids' favorite things to see at the zoo is the bald eagle. Every time we walk past the exhibit they ask me to read the sign describing how she was found in the wild with a broken wing. Then they ask me how her wing got broken and I tell them that I don't know. We make some guesses and then they ask me which guess was right. I tell them I don't know. We start guessing again. They ask me which guess was right. We repeat the whole process until they mercifully get distracted by something else.
Sprinkle Fireworks
This activity couldn't be any easier. To go along with our 4th of July books we made some pictures of fireworks from ice cream sprinkles and water.
Shake some ice cream sprinkles on white paper. (I think you need actual ice cream sprinkles and not cake sprinkles.)
