Underworld is fascinating. Whether on paper or on film the story captivates. This comic is almost an exact retelling of the film. I enjoyed it so much I had to watch the film again. I wish the pages had been lighter so that nuances in each scene would have come through. The intensity between Selene and Micheal came through beautifully. Centuries of a deep and bitter feud between the vampires and the Lycans lead to an intense and murderous conspiracy. As with the movie, the comic leaves readers yearning for more of the same.
