Nail of the Day: Indigo Bananas Synonym Bun

Is Monday over yet? You'd think, since it's what? Thursday? But NOOOOO. At least I have pretty polish though! Just a quick Nail of the Day...

Indigo Bananas
Synonym Bun

Synonym Bun is from the Fall 2015 Collection and it's a reddened rusty orange - like a bronzy amber fire with a linear holo. Two coats and one coat of top coat - perfectly smooth and easy formula with  no issues at all to report. Very glowy.

Indigo Bananas Executive Transvest!te - Swatches and Review

*These products are Cruelty Free

Tonight one of the polishes in Indigo Bananas' Executive Holos Collection for you - Executive Transvest!te! I laughed so hard at the name of this one! (Think Eddie Izzard!)

Executive Transvest!te is a champagne holographic polish with a foil-ish finish and gold micro-flakes. When I saw this one I thought it was going to be like 4 coats. NOT SO! Two coats for full opacity and NO issues to report at all. This one applies easily. No top coat for the photos. I love that it's not a brassy gold.

More photos after the jump...

Indigo Bananas Pan - Swatches and Review

Good morning! I'm torn today. I'm showing you a gorgeous polish but it's the last of the three Indigo Bananas I have for you for now. Pan.

First, here's what the Andrea, the genius behind Indigo Bananas, had to say about Pan:

"O goat-foot God of Arcady!
This modern world is grey and old,
And what remains to us of thee?"
- Oscar Wilde

Pan is a golden-green / olive duochrome with scattered holographic glitter, shifting a true green, and green-blue at sharp angles. Opaque in three coats.

Base color: olive
Shifts: olive / green-gold / green-blue
Finish: duochrome foil with holographic glitter
Roughness: very slightly gritty
# coats: three solo, or one as top coat
Top Coat: recommended
Size: 15ml
Vegan & cruelty free, 3-Free (formaldehyde, toluene, DBP free)

Pan went on smoothly and I've used three light coats for the photos with no top coat. No issues to report with formula or application. This one is more a duo-chrome than the multi-chromes I've shown you in Anansi and Wednesday but this one has scattered holographic glitter.

What do you think of this one? I did apply a top coat later but the texture and look of it without was probably my favorite.

Indigo Bananas Wednesday - Swatches and Review

It's Wednesday and I have a polish from Indigo Bananas to show you called Wednesday!!! See what I did there? <grin>

Indigo Bananas Wednesday

First, here's what the Andrea, the genius behind Indigo Bananas, had to say about Wednesday:

"I'm called Glad-of-War, Grim, Raider, and Third. I am One-Eyed. I am called Highest, and True-Guesser. I am Grimnir, and I am the Hooded One. I am All-Father, and I am Gondlir Wand-Bearer. I have as many names as there are winds, as many titles as there are ways to die." - American Gods

Base color: plum / pink leaning purple
Shifts: plum / pink-purple / orange / gold
Finish: glass fleck
Roughness: smooth
# coats: three solo (swatch), or one as top coat
Top Coat: not required, but recommended
Size: 15ml
Vegan & cruelty free and 3-Free (formaldehyde, toluene, DBP free)

This one is so stunning I'm not even going to attempt my own description. I used 3 light coats (if you have short nails I'm sure 2 will suffice) and no top coat for the photos.

Indigo Bananas Anansi - Swatches and Review

I have a treat for both of us today! It's my first time trying Indigo Bananas! Today I have Anansi to show you!

First, here's what the Andrea, the genius behind Indigo Bananas, had to say about Anansi:

Base color: emerald green
Shifts: green / silver-green / purple
Finish: glass fleck
Roughness: smooth
# coats: three solo (swatch), or one as top coat
Top Coat: not required, but recommended
Vegan & cruelty free, 3-Free (formaldehyde, toluene, DBP free)

And I think there are even a few more color-shifts than she listed! I used 3 light coats of this one alone, but it can certainly be layered over black and other colors, which I intend to try. I had ZERO issues - perfect formula and application. I did not use a top coat for the photos but I did wear this for my full mani and I used one light coat of Poshe top coat to protect it and had very minimal tip wear. More photos than normal just trying to show all of its personalities...
