All your base are belong to us (sometimes abbreviated as AYBABTU) was a phrase taken from a Japanese video game (Zero Wing), which was poorly translated into English in 2001. The phrase swept the internet shortly thereafter, and is still used today when someone wants to illustrate aggressive dominance—or the desire for such—by someone else, as in, "All your word-defining limericks are belong to us". |
