Watercoloring with Markers - Every Moment

We did some watercoloring this month at Tech Club, and also used Blender Pens with our Markers on this bird image from the Every Moment stamp set. We used the Label Framelits dies for the bird image and again for the larger mat. The mat is first cut with the Label Framelits and then run through the Big Shot again in the Polka Dot Texture Impressions Folder.

Here's a closer look at the bird and the embossed mat. I decided later that what he needed was a little bit of glitter. I added a bit of Dazzling Diamonds to the cattails and to the bird wings to give it just a bit of shimmer.

Recipe:
Stamps: Every Moment
Cardstock: So Saffron, Early Espresso, Whisper White
Ink: StazOn Jet Black, assorted Markers
Accessories: Labels Framelits, Early Espresso 1/8" Ribbon, Blender Pens

Happy Valentine's Day! - Classroom Valentine's

These are the Valentine Treats my son made for his classmates. It's fairly simple and it's just easy enough with few enough pieces that he was happy to assemble 25 of them. Perfect! We used the sentiment from PS I Love You stamp set in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

Although my second grader did most of the work on these, I did help him by running several pieces of the Real Red cardstock through the Big Shot with the Two Tags die. But I tried to cheat and put three pieces at a time, which meant that the bottom of these stacks got cut instead of scored. So he had to re-do a few and made comments about my lack of following directions!

Scrapbook - LOVE theme page - SASCRAP72

Happy Valentine's Day! The Scrapbooking Theme Challenge SASCRAP72 this month is LOVE! Here is a really quick and simple page that I created for the LOVE theme, even titled LOVE! Do you like all the hearts I used here? Play along with the Scrapbooking Challenges at Stampin' Addicts, with weekly challenges on Saturdays. Be sure to share your beautiful pages, too!

The graduated colors are Whisper White to Pink Pirouette to Regal Rose to Melon Mambo and finally Cherry Cobbler in a loose heart shape. The title LOVE is a few of these same pinks and reds Brayered onto Whisper White cardstock and then die cut in the Big Shot with the Serif Essentials Alphabet. Across the top I used the Hearts Framelits to die cute several hearts from Regal Rose and then ran them through the Big Shot again in the Polka Dots Texture Embossing Folder.

Indigo Field Flowers with Netting

Pretty little Field Flowers  - These Field Flowers are stamped in the blues of Pool Party and Indigo Island. The sentiment here is from Pursuit of Happiness, one of my favorites! My favorite detail on this card is the Clear Embossed Netting Background stamp, which is overstamped on the flowers and sentiment.

Here's a close-up so you can get an idea of the texture and dimension that the Netting stamp gives. After the flowers and sentiment is stamped, pounce the Embossing Buddy over the entire panel. Then ink the Netting Background stamp in VersaMark ink and place the cardstock over it. Press gently with your fingers over this to get a good image. Then heat emboss it in Clear Embossing Powder - you'll love the texture from this!

Glitter Hearts - PS I Love You

Here's a quick Valentine Card with lots of sparkle, using a sentiment from the PS I Love You stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog. I've seen some fun cards with this design of hearts punched across the bottom, and had to make my own. I used a piece of Sizzix Adhesive Sheet adhered to a same-sized piece of cardstock and then covered the Adhesive Sheet with different colors of Ultra Fine Glitter.  This Glittery Sheet is placed behind the punched out hearts.

I used our Shimmer Paper for the cardfront for added sparkled and the beautiful Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon.

Recipe:
Cardstock: Wisteria Wonder, Shimmer Paper
Ink: StazOn Jet Black
Stamps: PS I Love You
Accessories: Ultra Fine Glitter Stack (Cosmo, retired), Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon, Heart to Heart Punch

Bikini Top and Bottom card

This is a fun, silly card that has made its rounds for several years. I originally saw it on Stamp Owl's blog in 2008 and use her template for the bra and panties. This shaped card is a front/back card- the front of the card is the bra top and the back is the pantie bottom.

I had a friend ask for this for her husband's 30th birthday. I used a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock for the base and a piece of Real Red paper from the Brights Designer Series Paper Pack. A little black ribbon ruffled around the edges, a tiny black flower from Itty Bitty Punches and finished with a Pearl.

For the inside of the card I embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment from Curly Cute in Basic Black Craft ink and Clear Embossing Powder, then added the SWAK stamp in Real Red to 'seal it'.

Gnome Sweet Gnome - Hangin with my gnomies

Okay, even if Gnomes aren't your 'thing' or your style, don't these guys just make you SMILE?! sometimes? even a little?! This card makes me smile!  I used the Gnome Sweet Gnome stamp set from the new Occasions Mini Catalog and Masked a few boys together, arm in arm, and then Watercolored them with an AquaPainter and several Markers. I have better results with Water Color Paper when I use the AquaPainter to blend. Stampin' Up!'s Water Color Paper is a 140 lb Cold Press in 6 x 9 sheets of 100% cotton.

Gift Card Pocket Card - Fresh Vintage

Here's another card I made with Cork, this time using the Beautiful Butterflies die with the Big Shot. And I stamped on it with the largest image from Fresh Vintage (FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set choice) and added some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter as well. This is also a Pocket Card that is sized just right to hold a Gift Card.

Here's a closer look at the butterfly. I stamped the flourish image from Fresh Vintage in Melon Mambo ink (because the cork dulls the ink so much I went with the brightest ink.) Then I ran the cork through the Big Shot with the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die and finally, I added a little Two Way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. Three Pearls create an elegant body for this butterfly.

To create a Pocket Card, simply cut an 8 1/2 x11 piece of cardstock vertically to get a 4 1/4 x 11 card base. Then score this at 1 1/2" and at 7". Fold on the score lines and adhere the outside edges of the smaller score piece to create the pocket. I layered the Calypso Coral and Crumb Cake cardstock over the front flap to hang nearly to the bottom of the card. You can see a Starbucks gift card tucked in the pocket in the picture of the inside below.

**Remember, during Sale-A-Bration, you get to choose FREE SAB product for every $50 you spend. Even more FREE product when you Host a workshop. FREE product for the rest of the year when you join Stampin' Up!**
