I finally had a chance to play with the Mojo Monday Sketch 304. I used the Field Flowers stamp set from Stampin' Up! and some of the beautiful Chevron Ribbon. A tool that made this card come together easily and lined up well was my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig - love that tool!
This is a card that I wrote a note and put in the mail immediately after making! Should do that more often ;)

Dress Up with Love - Mojo Monday
I'm enjoying the last day of 2012 in my studio - playing with some of the new products from the Occasions Catalog from Stampin' Up! which begins next week. I am in LOVE with the Dress Up Framelits and the coordinating stamp set, All Dressed Up. But today I used only the Dress Up Framelits, with a piece of retired DSP and some of the new More Amore Designer Series Paper - which was a gift from a good friend - Thank you! Definitely ordering some more of this paper this week! The layout for this card is from the Mojo Monday Sketch today MOJO274. If you're looking for beautiful sketches, check them out every Monday for a new one. And look at this card, with the beautiful paper and the fun dress, there is only one stamp on this card - a small sentiment.
Recipe:
Stamps: Field Flowers (sentiment)
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette, Champagne Glimmer, More Amore DSP

Raspberry Ripple In Color - Field Flowers
The new Raspberry Ripple from Stampin' Up! makes me so happy! This In Color, one of 6 introduced last month is just a DELICIOUS shade of red!
Here's a closer look at the detail on the flower image. The stem and leaves are stamped in Gumball Green. I stamped the solid image in Pretty in Pink ink and overstamped the detail image in Raspberry Ripple. For the flower centers, I stippled Dazzling Details around the middles to give a little bit of shimmer and some more texture.

Beveled Window Panes Coloring Technique - Field Flowers
Here is one of the cards my Technique Club made this month. Does this Field Flowers card look familiar? It's a close CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) of one of the cards on the cover of the current Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog. I changed it only slightly, and made mine into a card, instead of the Matchbook Holder featured, and added a Beveled Window Pane instead of the stamped Twill Tape.
The Beveled Window Pane is stained by pouncing a cotton ball soaked with Rubbing Alcohol and Soft Suede Reinker. This adds a lot of dimension and interest to the Beveled Window Pane. I heat set mine with the Heat Gun, but do this very carefully as it is really easy to start melting the Window Pane!

Here's a closer look, the 'with Love' sentiment is stamped on a separate piece of Very Vanilla
cardstock and placed behind the Beveled Window Pane, with the Crumb Cake
Seam Binding wrapped behind and knotted above.

Indigo Field Flowers with Netting
Pretty little Field Flowers - These Field Flowers are stamped in the blues of Pool Party and Indigo Island. The sentiment here is from Pursuit of Happiness, one of my favorites! My favorite detail on this card is the Clear Embossed Netting Background stamp, which is overstamped on the flowers and sentiment.
Here's a close-up so you can get an idea of the texture and dimension that the Netting stamp gives. After the flowers and sentiment is stamped, pounce the Embossing Buddy over the entire panel. Then ink the Netting Background stamp in VersaMark ink and place the cardstock over it. Press gently with your fingers over this to get a good image. Then heat emboss it in Clear Embossing Powder - you'll love the texture from this!

Coloring and new stamps, oh my!
I took a little coloring lesson from a friend this weekend and played with her Copic Markers and Hangler Spangler stamps - both new to me. I don't color very much so any kind of coloring is new to me! Here are the cards I made using the images we colored - I colored the yellow dress girl and she colored the pink dress girl and gave it to me as well - so sweet! And aren't these little girls sweet?!
Inside:
Stamps: Hangler Spangler, Every Moment, Just Believe
Cardstock: So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Spice Cake DSP
Ink: Early Espresso, More Mustard, Wild Wasabi, Pool Party
Accessories: Tulip Frame Texture Folder, Circle Die, Scallop Circle Die, Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Dazzling Diamonds, Crystal Effects, Word Window Punch
I added some Dazzling Details to her hair bow and just a dot of Crystal Effects to her eyes and trimmed her out to sit on a little shelf of ribbon. This card uses a new stamp set Field Flowers from Stampin' Up! , that I hadn't even gotten inky yet!
