Gorgeous Flower Vases DIY

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't clip something from my garden to put in a vase on my table or in my kitchen window.  Yes, I'm a fussy fellow.  Having those little blooms all over the house just makes me feel better and it gives my little bungalow a warm, comfortable look.   These little flower vases aren't actually pottery if you can believe it, they're made from dollar store glassware and painted with my secret faux pottery painting technique. Why not make some for yourself?  Have fun!
XOXO, Mark

Boho Home Decor Projects!

I can't help grabbing all of the fun silicone molds I've been seeing at the dollar store lately.  I don't bake, but I sure love to fill them with things like plaster of Paris and resin!  This flower mold is one of my favorites and I found a place for you to order it below!  Now initially I only wanted to make a simple incense burner, but as usual I went a little overboard and ended up making a mirror and some place card holders.....All with a boho feel.  Can we say CRAFT-A-HOLIC!  The faux glaze technique is really rocking my world lately, too.  Check out the video to see how I made all three projects.
Have fun!  xoxo, Mark

Recycled Magazine Bracelets

Summer is here and it's time to recycle that big stack of magazines you've been saving for no reason. Cut them, roll them, paint them and accessorize your summer wardrobe with these colorful bracelets!  The best part is that you can do most of this while catching up on your favorite TV shows. I painted them with bold colorful stripes, but plain black and white would also look absolutely beautiful.
Have fun! xo, Mark

Make tons!  It's only paper.....

YOU'LL NEED
Cereal box cardboard
Ruler
Scissors
White glue
Magazine pages
Paintbrush
 Cut long strips of cardboard
Wrap a strip around your hand to get your bracelet size
Glue the cardboard into a bracelet and then glue on another strip
*This will make it stronger
Clip the cardboard together while it dries
Cut magazine pages into 3" x 4" pieces
Roll the pages into tubes (starting at the corner) and then secure with glue
*You will need about 60 per bracelet
Cut the tubes the width of the bracelet
Glue them side by side all the way around
Paint the inside of the bracelet and let dry
Paint the tubes in different colors all the way around
Dab another color on each edge
Coat with Triple Thick Gloss and let dry
*This will make them extra shiny and sturdy
Try only painting the inside and edges for another amazing look!
