What's our second favourite thing to do after making crisps? 🥔 Hosting individuals for their work experience week! 📑 Last week Tayto Group Limited had the pleasure of hosting both Ethan & Lucas at our busy Corby site and we gave them a little taste of what a career in the food industry can look like (as well as lots of crisps!)! Under the watchful eye of our Site Services Manager Darren Barrett, both Ethan & Lucas, once safely buddied up, were given the opportunity to see the different aspects of a career in Engineering. 🛠 This included assisting on machine overhauls, replacing components as well as attending to live machine breakdowns to gain an understanding of the importance of time and health & safety. To wrap up the week, both gave a presentation to summarise the experience they had with photos and reports on each day, detailing their work on both mechanical and electrical jobs. We love having bright, engaged individuals here with us on site and to thank them both our site General Manager Duncan Crawford presented them with their first tool set to get them started... And crisps! Obviously! Special thanks to The Latimer Arts College for entrusting us with your students again! Their future is certainly looking bright! ⭐

Our Technical teams really stepped up last week to showcase Food Safety Day. There were quizzes galore, with some "special guests" bringing things to life - including a friendly 6ft Ratatouille! Not forgetting the staphylococcus aureus and a clostridium botulinum soft toy squishies, for those brave enough to try and identify the foreign body. Who'd have even thought that there was a market for these soft toy look-a-likes!? Never has Food Safety been so much fun! Well done to the site teams and everyone who got involved. A great team effort all round. Thank you to all.
