    Fire safety starts with the right materials! In today’s Chempedia, we take a closer look at flame-retardant plastics and introduce LG Chem’s PFAS-Free Flame-Retardant PC/ABS.   LG Chem is the first in the industry to develop PFAS-Free Flame-Retardant PC/ABS, reducing harmful substances and increasing eco-friendliness. This material has earned the highest flame retardancy rating of UL94 V-0.   PFAS, known for its resistance to heat, water, and oil, is commonly used in cookware and clothing. However, due to its environmental impact, the demand for PFAS-free materials is growing. Through our proprietary flame retardant process, LG Chem ensures superior heat resistance without PFAS. In addition, more than half of the material is made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, cutting carbon emissions by 46% compared to conventional materials.   #LGChem #WeConnectScience
