Our partners visited our laboratory in Headquarters, our manufacturing plant L HOUSE in Andong, and our Songdo Global R&PD Center, which is currently under construction. SK bioscience has signed an agreement with Klocke Group, a German biopharmaceutical group, to acquire the controlling stake in Klocke Group’s affiliate, IDT Biologika, one of the top 10 global vaccine contract manufacturers. last June.

We're pleased to announce that SK bioscience and CEPI (Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations) hosted the 'Celebrating Partnership for Pandemic Preparedness: CEPI-SK bioscience Reception' in Yeoui-do, Seoul on August 29. About 80 global health experts and leaders gathered at the event, organized to discuss a strategic partnership between CEPI and the Republic of Korea across in all sectors to prepare for and response to the next pandemic. The occasion was attended by the distinguished representatives such as Professor Jane Halton, Chair of the CEPI board, Dr. Richard Hatchett, CEO of CEPI (Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations), Jaeyong Ahn, CEO of SK bioscience, and Dr. Jerome Kim, Director General of the International Vaccine Institute (IVI). The event was also attended by representatives from the Korean government and health authorities such as National Assembly member Honorable Yoon Kim; Hyejin Kim, Deputy Minister for Planning and Coordination, Ministry of Health and Welfare; Jonghan Park, Director General, Development Cooperation Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Youngmee Jee, Commissioner of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA).

SK bioscience strives to achieve Net Zero. In order to minimize greenhouse gas emissions, it has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SK E&S for solar energy. Through this agreement, SK bioscience will receive a massive amount of renewable energy for 20 years starting from 2027. This is equivalent to planting 4,400 trees that absorb 2.5 tons of carbon dioxide annually. As the risk of climate crisis intensifies, thereby threatening the Earth, carbon neutrality is obligatory not only for SK bioscience but for all of us. #SKbioscience #FromPreventionToCure #NetZero
