• Initiated and established the spinocerebellar ataxia type 7 (SCA7) project in the laboratory, which allowed a postdoctoral fellow and graduate student to receive research funding
• Developed a novel mouse model that mimics all features of human SCA7, and it is now widely used as a precise genetic model to study SCA7 by our research group and collaborators

• Wrote a book chapter "Dominantly inherited spinocerebellar syndromes" in "In Neuromuscular Disorders of Infancy, Childhood, and Adolescence: A Clinician's Approach" -
