Empowering Sustainable Action: Innovation Sessions at the One Earth Summit 🌎
At the heart of the One Earth Summit is our core mission to mobilise capital for empowering innovations and driving sustainable action in every sector. The afternoon sessions at the summit brought this mission to life in the Palladium and Emerald Halls, each fostering innovative ideas for sustainable futures.
Our Urban Development & Infrastructure session had a keynote by Christina Gaw and a panel discussion featuring Deepali Khanna, Gill Meller, Khan Yow, Rahul Chaudhary, and Vanessa Cheung, moderated by Andrew Young.
The session on Water, Food, and Agriculture for a sustainable future featured a keynote from Yi Cui and an insightful panel discussion led by moderator Benjamin Cashore, with experts Dominic O’Neill, Kristian Teleki, Lesly Goh, and Marco Lambertini sharing their perspectives.
Leo Horn-Phathanothai moderated the panel on Energy Transition, which was enriched with insights from panelists Michaela Kendall, Musaab AlMulla, Peter Wong Wai-yee, Rob Genieser, and TK Chiang.
Our session on Circular Economy, Materials, and Industrial Decarbonisation began with a keynote by Kian Wee Seah. The panel discussion, moderated by Dimitrios Tsivrikos, included Alice Ho, Chandran Nair, Charles Ng, Clarence Leung, and Mark Cheng as panellists, contributing their expertise and insights.
Finally, the session on Leadership, Strategy, and Action towards Net Zero was kicked off with a sustainable strategy keynote by Alpha Lau. The following panel discussion featured Amy Fong, Esther An, John Haffner, and Mark Harper, under the charismatic moderation of Catherine Zhu.
In addition to the thought-provoking panel discussions, each session in the afternoon featured a number of incredible innovators who pitched their climate solutions. The innovator pitch sessions were powered by AlphaTrio Capital and included Antonia Da Cruz, Zac So and Golden Chen in the Urban Development and Infrastructure session, Alan Phua, Carrie Chan and Snehal Verma and Ziliang Yang in the Water, Food and Agriculture session, Michael Yap and David Tang in the Energy Transition session and Andi Tao, Sissi Chao and Sylvan Yu in the Circular Economy session.
Each presentation was a testament to the ingenuity and determination inherent in our five core summit themes. These pitches not only captivated the audience but also served as a vibrant reminder of the creative potential and entrepreneurial spirit driving environmental innovation.
