MSC reshuffles its Asia-Oceania network to enhance service efficiency 🌏 🚢 We are excited to announce the reshuffle of our Asia-Oceania network, offering faster and more reliable services for businesses in China, Southeast Asia, and Oceania. Key updates include: •⁠ ⁠The Wallaby service reinstated as a standalone service, providing faster and more direct connections between Australia, New Zealand, and North Asia, with comprehensive coverage of New Zealand ports. •⁠ ⁠The Noumea Express service will now include Tauranga and Nelson calls, offering more options to/from New Caledonia and Fiji. MSC reaffirms its commitment to NOT use the Northern Sea Route as a shipping lane, a stance we believe the entire shipping industry should adopt 🌎🚢 💛 Here is why: •⁠ ⁠Arctic waters are extremely challenging to navigate due to ice, weather conditions, insufficient chart information, and limited infrastructure. •⁠ ⁠Search-and-rescue and pollution response resources are distant, meaning our ships and crews would be largely on their own. •⁠ ⁠We understand that Arctic communities depend on shipping, and we should not burden its essential traffic with unnecessary transits. •⁠ ⁠There is no shortcut to the decarbonization of shipping. Additionally, our fleet and network can efficiently transport our customers’ cargoes worldwide without transiting the Arctic. At MSC, we remain fully committed to avoiding trade routes in fragile marine ecosystems and vulnerable environments, such as the Arctic. Enhancing Our East-West Network! 🌍 🚢 We’re delighted to announce adjustments to our standalone services, Swan and Britannia, to provide even greater connectivity. The new Swan-Sentosa service will offer a corridor for Eastbound cargoes to/from Southeast Asia, with added westbound calls in Qingdao and Busan. What a fantastic experience at the Trofeo SM La Reina 2024 in Valencia! ⛵🌟 Fresh from a great result at the Bol d’Or in Geneva, our MSC Sailing Team made its debut in the ORC 3 class with the Dufour 40 LADY model. The regatta, a benchmark in the national and international sailing circuit, was filled with teamwork and a competitive spirit. We were delighted to welcome our customers to this special event, where they enjoyed watching the MSC Sailing Team compete from a catamaran, followed by the exciting Spain v Germany match on a big screen.
