Throughout this year, Acer is collaborating with Plastic Bank to support the collection and recycling of 50 tons of discarded plastic waste (equivalent to 2.5 million plastic bottles!) Ocean-bound plastic is discarded plastic found within 50 km of a major waterway or coastal area that is likely to enter the ocean due to improper waste management. Plastic poses a significant threat to marine wildlife and humans, as the chemicals in the plastic can move up the food chain.
