Road trip

I went with some friends to see their village house and I was reminded that I live in a unique place.
Where else does a bus driver get such a canvas for personal expression?
Where else do shepherds get away with walking their sheep down the highway?
Where else can your child ride in the car without a seat belt? In fact, he can hang out the back of the car while the door is wide open.
There's a whole world to watch go by.
A whole world to drive out and see.
Some of it is just too beautiful for words.

Cricketeers

I was watching a couple of nomadic shepherd boys play cricket.
One of them was really good. It was hard to tell how old he was, since he seemed to be small for his age. He looked to be about five or six. But he might have been small for his age and really be closer to eight.
Here he is pitching (or bowling).
And here is his friend trying to hit the ball.

Goat stampede

This is the mass of goats that took over the road on my way home one afternoon.

Wall to wall goats.

That clicking sound you hear? That's the goatherdess (I think I just made up that word) "talking" to her goats.

And this is the shepherd who didn't keep up with the others. It looks like he's messing with his watch. Which century is he from?

Shopping sights

I went out shopping and I saw a whole range of interesting sights.

A typical view of the houseboats.

Where I bought my vegetables.

Cloth for a new suit.

What is the fake horse doing in the mall?

Is it the real Pizza Hut?

And, yes, shepherdesses with their sheep.
