Out Magazine Celebrates Year's Most Compelling LGBT Figures

Had some much-needed fun (and vodka) last night at the Out 100 gala at Metropolitan West in Midtown, which doubled as a Trump survivors support group. Honorees included Don Lemon, Tracey Norman, Secretary of the Army Eric Fanning, and heroes of Pulse Nightclub. My photog friend Greg Endries was my "plus one," and we ran into a bunch of familiar faces, all ready to lend a well-toned shoulder to cry on. (I'm also going to a Stronger Together party tonight.) See the complete list of Out 100 honorees -- shot by Gavin Bond in beautiful black and white -- HERE. And help keep LGBT media alive by subscribing to Out magazine HERE.

Heroes of the Pulse nightclub massacre were in attendance ...

as was blushing bride Edie Windsor ...

Out editor in chief Aaron Hicklin, left, gave moving speech about the election results, (That's openly gay Secretary of the Army Eric Fanning in the middle.)

Disco-ball earrings are definitely not "out"!

Fashionable attendees ...

We ended up at Boomer Banks' after-party at Le Bain (on top of the Standard Hotel), but my supermodel diet -- cocktails and no food -- finally caught up to me, so I didn't last much longer than snapping this picture of the incredible view!

UPDATE:

Speaking of the Pulse survivors, they were just named people of the year by the Advocate! Read HERE.

Who Are the Most Powerful LGBT People in America?

Find out which power bottoms are on top HERE.

From a release:
For the second year in a row, Tim Cook has secured the number one spot on the list. Since coming out publicly in 2014, the Apple CEO has vocally supported diversity, most recently donating iPads and Macs in 29 states as part of a $100 million commitment to improve technology in public schools with minority students. Once intensely private, Cook appeared last September on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to explain why he decided to discuss his personal life telling the host, “It became so clear to me that kids were getting basically discriminated against, kids were even being disclaimed by their own parents, and that I needed to do something.”
Ellen DeGeneres maintained her second place position on the list from last year and was also recently named one of Forbes most powerful women in the world. The Emmy-winning talk show host has had a phenomenal year including what many view as a highlight from last season of The Ellen DeGeneres Show when she confronted former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner on her views on marriage equality. The list continues with MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow holding on to her number 3 spot from last year, while CNN host Anderson Cooper and American Horror Story’s Ryan Murphy round out the top 5. OUT also welcomes numerous newcomers to the annual Power List including: TV personality/Olympian Caitlyn Jenner (No. 8), filmmakers Lana & Lilly Wachowski (No. 22), social justice activist and mayoral candidate DeRay Mckesson (No. 23) writer/director/producer Jill Soloway (No. 25), actor/singer Jussie Smollett (No. 28), comedian Kate McKinnon (No. 31), and Internet celebrity Tyler Oakley (No. 48)

OUT Magazine's Hot List Unveiled

Had a fun time at the OUT Magazine Hot List and NY Pride Party last night at the Carlton Hotel. While I may be too (c)old to know who any of the people on the actual list were, there were certainly enough handsome men in the room to keep it muy caliente -- especially the model Gillette hired to be shaved from head to toe on a pedestal! Check out the complete Hot List HERE.

He wasn't on The List, but I did recognize THIS ONE!
