The edition of the Sao Paulo International Festival I Love Jazz will happen in the city between July 30th and August 5th and will be marked by performances at the Ibirapuera Auditorium and free concerts on points of general crosswalk.
The initiative seeks, among other things, to promote popular participation for a kind of music usually seen as sophisticated and airtight. For this, besides the presentations, there will be lectures, master classes, courses and workshops. In all these cases, the idea is to give great emphasis to the period that includes the 1920 and 1940.
Among the attractions, especially Antigua Jazz Band, Argentinean band formed in 1968. Through solos, duets, trios and small ensembles, the members will present the traditional black jazz on August 4th. The repertoire of songs names like Joe King Oliver, Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton and Duke Ellington.
