Adult Swim Emojis are HERE

Prepare to take 50% longer to end any sentence as you choose the perfect tiny faces to convey your mood, since you want to be understood but meeting face to face is a major fucking hassle. Will it be tiny drunken Rick from Rick and Morty to express your desire to be blind, stinking drunk rather than sit through another useless meeting? Maybe it's 2 Ton 21 from Venture Bros to hammer home your excitement over a moment in Game of Thrones where 100 people are burned alive. THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!!! Well...not endless...but still fun.

SDCC 2014: Preview Night Cosplay

In years past, preview night at San Diego Comic-Con was a race among the press to get as many things shot as possible on a virtually empty show floor while the industry folks and professionals around us laughed and pointed...and were able to hold actual conversations. You could hop in line and buy toys..shoot every damn Marvel figure, front and back, unmolested...and there was plenty of room for all. These days...it is WAR. I tip my hat to the brave ladies covering the con for Idle Hands this year (an all female team!) and give a slight bow to the few but bold cosplayers who were on the floor to fight the good fight. Here's the first round of what should be some epic cosplay galleries!

Venture Bros. Season 5 Premiere Reviewed

The long wait is over...so long I'd forgotten the events that transpired just before this new hour long episode which seems to take off right where the last landed, as not to lose any steam. Taking a cue from Jackson and Doc, I'll jump right in with no further babble...

Following the events of Operation PROM where all the hookers were transformed into giant insect creatures, Brock loses the love of his life (or so it seemed) and we finally learn what a "Rusty Venture" is, the world of the Venture Bros. is understandable shook up...but SCIENCE MARCHES ON!! Doctor Venture is nearing a deadline to complete a shield array for his brother's space station and, as usual, has pissed the seed money away and is clueless as to how he might complete the project on his own, so it's all hands on deck. Dean is in a "black" phase, but helps to recruit kids from the nearby college to get the shield up and running. Sloppy science and an overabundance of radiation changes their outlook on life very quickly. While that is the bulk of the plot, you'll also see bits with The Monarch going through Henchman 21 withdrawal (so sad!!) and Billy Quizboy's new Arch Nemesis!! The only die hard complaint you'll probably hear is that the episode is severely Brock-light, but I've got a few other bones to pick myself.

Countdown to Venture Bros: A Method to the Madness

November 21, 2010 was the air date of the season finale of Venture Bros. Season 4. After drinking our fill of the DVD release, we screamed for more, and so were given "A Very Venture Christmas" and "From the Ladle to the Grave: The Story of Shallow Gravy" and "A Very Venture Halloween", all thrown to us like a warlord throwing scraps of meat to feral dogs..providing just enough to keep us alive and still assure we fight over every last bit. And now..mangy..rabid..frothing at the mouth..we take a seat at our couches and wait patiently for Season 5 to begin. I paint a pretty picture, don't I?!

A Very Venture Halloween Reviewed

Venture Bros Junkies....your fix is nigh!! We brave few, starved for animation by our pseudo-adoptive, ultra creative cousins Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick huddle up to the glowing warmth of a flat screen teevee for just a morsel of holiday themed adventure with Doctor Thaddeus S. "Rusty" Venture and friends....and laugh and swoon and then feel empty inside once more ..returning to our lonely love seat to mark the number of days we must wait until a NEW Season of Venture Brothers will fill our lives with purpose. To you, the Venture Bros fan, I give the one fist salute.
