Retro-indie games publisher Bitmap Soft and developer Jake Macher have announced that Sofia the Witch: Curse of the Monster Moon, a fun and addictive puzzle game for Game Boy Color, is now available on their store at £50.00.

The preorder for Sofia the Witch: Curse of the Monster Moon will run for approximately four weeks starting October 24, with shipping expected two weeks after the preorder period ends.

Five Nights At Freddy's: Into The Pit Giving Retro Chills and Robot Bunny Kills

Allow me to begin this review by admitting to you that I am not a Five Nights At Freddy's (lovingly referred to as FNAF) fangirl. Truth be told, I know as much about the franchise as most casual gamers who don't play the games do, and I learned about it by watching Markiplier playthroughs or listening to my kids babble on about it. My personal, hands-on experience with any of the games has been limited to playing the very first installment of  FNAF for research to surprise my FNAF-obsessed son with a special birthday cake. The game was fun for sure, but definitely too high-stress and claustrophobic for my liking. My preference has always been the wide-open worlds of games like Fallout 4 and Red Dead Redemption, or the gameplay of Tomb Raider or Bloodborne. Being trapped in a single room fighting off the unseen terrors of the outside world, only to be slapped in the face, time and again, with failure, is what I do on a daily basis as an illustrator and parent. I play games to escape that reality, so the FNAF franchise has just never really interested me.

1982 DC Comics Style Guide Dropping This August

On June 3, 2024, NY-based publisher Standards Manual and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products will formally announce the official and long-awaited reissue of the 1982 DC Comics Style Guide, reproduced from a rare original copy as a high-quality 1:1 hardcover book, featuring the legendary art of José Luis García-López.

In 1982, Spanish-Argentine artist José Luis García-López was hired to create the key art for an ambitious project: a total standardization of DC’s Super Heroes look. The resulting 3-ring-binder filled with rules, color swatches, character profiles, and hundreds of pages of stunning art was in itself a showcase of García-López’s artistic talent, collaborating with legendary inker Dick Giordano. But it served a very practical purpose, as it was intended to create artwork for products and packaging of DC’s wide range of licensed products and promotions. Most earlier DC licensed products or ads picked up images from the comics, without any additional payment to the talent—led by president Jenette Kahn, the team updated that policy so that most licensees had to use artwork created specifically for that purpose, either in the Style Guides or newly drawn.

Hasbro Unveils Marvel Retro Series X-Men Action Figure Wave

Oh dam. Hold onto your wallet TIGHTLY. This is going to cause the dollars to jump from your pockets. Hasbro have been releasing retro packaged action figures in between their Marvel Legends waves for a little over a year now (maybe longer) and while they are a welcome addition to those Marvel obsessed collections AND have provided a way to get much needed action figures which have sky rocketed in price into the hands of the poor johnny or jane come lately, they weren't really blowing anyone's hair back. Retro Sci-fi Thriller "I'm Not A Monster" Launches Beta Demo
