THE STRANGERS: CHAPTER 1 In Theaters May 17, 2024
In these modern times, we are all too ready to throw away what we consider "out-dated absolutes"..like the notion of "pure evil". There's always a motive for why someone does something. Money..power..sex..all reasons to justify the most hideous acts, or just turn a blind eye to them. While our fekked up little world has been showing us no end of people willing to be outwardly EVIL for reasons THEY think are completely justified, their actions are still seen as monstrous within human boundaries. This being the case, it's shocking we don't see more movies and media where a human being is discovered to be doing horrific things by night while leading what is considered a "normal life" by day. Said person would commit acts purely on impulse and derive a perverse happiness from their works completed. No more reason given than they were compelled to hideous action. We may not be cranking out true-to-life tales of horror these days (most likely because the world is horrific enough), but in 2008, The Strangers came knocking.

The stoner icons, who first hit the screen 25 years ago in Clerks, are back in movie theaters with their long-awaited adventure, “Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.” The new film sees Mewes and Smith return to the roles they created in 1994’s Clerks. This time around, the New Jersey duo discover that Hollywood is rebooting an old movie based on them and embark on another cross-country mission to stop it all over again.
Fathom Events and Saban Films present the full-length “Jay and Silent Bob Reboot” in more than 600 U.S. movie theaters on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. local time with a special pre-recorded video introduction from Mewes and Smith. The first 50 people at each location on October 15 will receive a limited-edition poster (while supplies last). Then on Thursday, October 17 at 7:00 p.m. local time, audiences will see a special double feature of Miramax’s “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back” and “Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.” Both evenings will also feature exclusive bonus content.

Witchblade Gets a Reboot
Writer Caitlin Kittredge (THROWAWAYS, Coffin Hill) and artist Roberta Ingranata put a contemporary spin on the classic WITCHBLADE—first co-created by Image Comics co-founder and partner, Marc Silvestri, with Brian Haberlin, Michael Turner, and David Wohl—WITCHBLADE, VOL. 1 trade paperback will collect issues #1-6. It will hit stores this July.
Gunned down and left for dead on a New York rooftop, Alex Underwood's life should have ended there—but instead, at the moment of death, she became host to The Witchblade, a mystical artifact that grants the woman wielding it extraordinary powers. But those powers come with a heavy cost, and Alex soon finds herself thrust into the center of an unseen battle raging on the snowy streets of NYC.

The New DuckTales Cartoon Is Weird... and AWESOME
The last we heard from Disney XD's DuckTales reboot, we got to sing along with the cast and realize we still knew every word to the super catchy theme song. Also, the 10th Doctor was involved...so all was right with the world. Now we get a look at the very modern art style used in this new cartoon series, and get re-acquainted with Donald Duck and his nephews as well as Scrooge McDuck, Webby and Launchpad McQuack. ...It never occurred to me there were so many Scottish ducks in this cartoon...
