About Me

I am a stay-at-home wife and mother of 2 from Ohio! I also sell fabulous Gold Canyon Candles on the side! I love to cook for my family and am always looking for new recipes that are yummy, inexpensive and somewhat easy to prepar e. More than I love to cook - I love to bake and dream of someday owning my own cookie shop - just cookies - lots and lots of yummy cookies. I do like to bake other stuff as well, but cookies are my first love! *******I need your help...I need recipes that are low in sodium, yet tasty and pleasing to a whole family....my daughter is on a low-sodium diet due to a kidney disease and I need some new recipes the whole family will enjoy...let me know if you have any suggestions....thank!!!!!!!!************ Read more

Sounds wonderful! I've never had pilaf with raisins before and likely never will. I'm not a raisins fan at all. Ours has always been made this way or similarly (onions, garlic, broth, butter) and the upscale restaurants serve it like that too.

Edited to add: This sounds like it would do well in a rice cooker too.

Hootie hoo!! Hope you are enjoying your day today! One of the christian radio stations had a contest to be a guest DJ for about 30 minutes. They called me and I was on the radio today with 3 of my favorite songs. They were "Redeemer" by Nicole C. Mullens, Crystal Lewis - God's Been Good to Me, and Phillips, Craig & Dean -"Friend of God". It was a lot of fun!!

Yes ,you have to get that Bundt pan out and fill it up with the yummy Buttermilk Breakfast cake! Thank you for the nice comment. I really enjoyed the flavor and it was so moist. I would eat it anytime of day, but loved it with a hot coffee or tea!

Hey me again..I just saw your comment on the Peanut Butter filled cookies. They are sooo yummy. I hope you like them. ANd YES...please by all means share your oatmeal cream cookie recipe. I love those Little Debbie ones you buy at the store...Homemade ones would be so sweet!!
