    I made this today, I really love the texture, it's very soft and spongy, but I was not too fond of the taste, it has a strong taste of flour, I just added a strawberry filling and buttercream frosting, so I hope that would improve the taste

    This is a lovely and versatile recipe! I used the zest of an orange in place of the almond extract and the juice of the orange in place of the milk. Topped with chocolate frosting, the cupcakes I made using this recipe and my modifications were well-received by all who ate them:)

    well i was slightly disappointed. its a great recipe, but the almond essence was too much and kind of overpowering. next time i think of making it i mite put in 1/2 a tsp of extract. but over all, it was not bad. good i would say. not great.

    Chocolate cake in a mug....make sure you beat the egg a little before adding to the mug. I also make sure everything is mixed well. I guess I haven't notice an eggy texutre. Be sure to try the peanut butter chips or the andes choc. mint pieces. YUM! This is my son't favorite after school snack. He only eats half and will save the rest for later or shares with me. Susie

    Hey Pam, I know that its been awhile but I need to see if you have any doctored cake mix recipes that might be helpful. I am going to make a pumpkin bundt cake but I am not sure of a good recipe. Any ideas? Hope that I haven't bitten off more than I can chew! It's for a baby shower so I need something tried and true. Thanks so much! :)
