Hot Pepper Jelly

- 1/4 cup hot peppers (red), seeded and chopped (I left one or two unseeded) shopping list
- 3/4 cup jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped ( I left one or two unseeded) shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups white vinegar shopping list
- 6 1/2 cups white sugar shopping list
- 6 ounces liquid pectin shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all ingredients, EXCEPT pectin, in a heavy Dutch Oven.
- Bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat.
- Let stand for 5 minutes.
- Skim the foam from the surface of the mixture.
- Return to a boil.
- Add liquid pectin.
- Boil, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat.
- Ladle hot mixture into hot sterilized jars.
- Use a water bath on jars for 10 minutes.
- Remove jars from pot.
- Tighten seals.
- Invert jars to seal.
