How to make it
- Make soup: Wash and stem the strawberries. Cut them in half.
- In a medium saucepan, bring the water, sugar and lemon juice to the boil. Add the strawberries to the boiling water and cook until the berries are breaking apart and liquid is red and thick. Remove strawberries from the liquid and allow the soup to cool.
- ------------------
- Meanwhile, make the white chocolate sauce: break up the pieces of chocolate. Bring the cream to the boil and pour the chopped white chocolate over it. Whisk until the chocolate is melted; set aside to cool.
- For the puff pastry "ravioli," preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cut out small circles of puff pastry and place 1 teaspoon of strawberry jam in the center of half of them. Brush remaining circles with a little bit of egg. Sandwich them together with the jam-topped circles. Pinch the sides together and bake for 8 minutes or until they are light brown and bubbly. Don't worry if a little of the jam leaks out.
- --------------------------------------------
- Spoon a little white chocolate sauce into each of 2 bowls. Put a warm puff pastry "ravioli" on top. Spoon black pepper ice cream on top of that. Pour on the strawberry soup and serve.
