Midway digs deep into its arcade attic again for some well-known classics and some long-forgotten relics. With one Arcade Treasures already in the books, Midway goes two different routes for the sequel. One way is bringing back more obscure titles from the early days of gaming. Fans of classic arcade games sure had a lot to be thankful for when Midway released Midway Arcade Treasures. After all, it contained 24 classic arcade games for the low, low price of $20. And that "classic" label isn't being thrown around lightly. Aside from a couple of duds (Blaster?), all the games were still great fun to play. Read More »
There is no reason to not get Midway Arcade Treasures II -- unless you own all of the 20+ games on the disc. But even then, why deal with swapping between consoles and sorting through old discs when Midway has collected them into one nice package so you can keep your ass hunkered down as you switch between games? Not only that, but Midway has taken the effort to port these games onto every next-gen console -- PS2, Xbox, and GameCube for $19.99 (plus a nifty bonus DVD). Read More »
