This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Navy Blue Bustle Era Skirt
From the seller:
An elaborate 1880’s navy blue silk bustle skirt. It has recently been de-accessioned from a museum collection and the cataloging tag is attached to the inside waist. The front of the skirt is decorated with a dark purple swag and drapery. The skirt has tulip shaped hemline with a dark purple band underneath. The skirt has a bustle back. It is lined with cotton. The skirt is in very good condition. There is some splitting on the waistband and one dime size wear spot on the velvet swag. Waist 24 ½ Length 39 inches.
