[Band Visit] Birthday Kicks

Here's a brief bio of  Birthday Kicks, (Larissa, Greece) with some background info on how the band started and took the form it has today.

It was 2009 when Andreas Almpanis (guitar, vocals) met Jeroen Langstraat (former bassist) in a live appearance of The Last Drive in Larisa, Greece. From February 2010 They start to jam and rehearse together at home and they keep searching for a drummer to form a band. Their first attempts and appearances were made with the name TAZ (Temporary Autonomous Zone) managing to open the gig of Wooden Shjips in Larisa.

'Abell 35-', Greek releases review (+compilation)

Abell 3565, Abell 3574 and Abell 3521 are three of the most massive galaxy clusters of 'Laniakea Galaxy Supercluster'.

'Abell 35-' is a selection of releases from the Greek heavy underground scene with a duration of less than 35 minutes each. All of them were released during 2016, either on physical or digital form.

Υπό καθεστώς μυστικότητας και ιντερνετικής αντικοινωνικότητας, μόλις κατέφτασε στα χέρια μου το πολυαναμενόμενο full-length ντεμπούτο των συμπατριωτών μου Birthday Kicks. "Το 7"single "Gotta Believe" (με το "Dressed in Black Priest" και μια διασκευή Depeche Mode ως b-side), καθώς και τα σκόρπια νέα tracks που με εσωστρεφή φειδωλότητα μας έδινε η μπάντα μέσα από το bandcamp site της, μου είχαν ανοίξει την όρεξη για τα καλά.
