GINGERBREAD KISSES PAPERCLIP ALBUM | with Conny

Hello, crafty friends! This is Conny. It has been a wonderful year creating all these projects using Doodlebug's beautiful collections. I wanted to take a moment to wish you all a prosperous and happy New Year! Today, I am sharing this paper clip album as a fun project to close out the year and send some happy mail.  To begin, I chose three papers from the Gingerbread Kisses Collection and coordinating textured cardstock pack. I scored them all at the half mark, but you can score them differently to achieve a cascading effect.

Here are the measurements I used:

3.5" by 12" score at 6 inches
3.5" by 10" score at 5 inches
3.5" by 8" score at 4 inches

On the cover page, I decorated using the Gingerbread Kisses Shaker Pop, Odds and Ends Pieces, and Chit Chat Pieces. Additionally, I added ribbon, beads, and the Little Gingers Little Charmers for a cookie theme.  I also layered multiple papers from the collection through the album.

I had a lot of fun creating my album! To add some personality, I chose to use a few journaling cards from the  Deck The Halls paper. Plus, I added some extra charm with the  Seasons Greetings tags. Overall, it turned out to be a lovely project!

I spruced up the card with a cute little envelope and added some extra flair! Take a look and let me know what you think.

With a touch of creativity and attention to detail, I added a pack of colorful sprinkles and pinned the completed album to a beautifully wrapped chipboard adorned with papers from the collection. It's amazing how a small finishing touch can bring a project to life!

Thank you so much for stopping by, Happy New Year. Love Conny!

GINGERBREAD KISSES RECIPE BOOK | with Jen

Nothing says Christmas to me more than the sweet or savory treats we only make this time of year. The Gingerbread Kisses collection just begs to be made into a recipe book!

I used the largest gingerbread house cut file from the Gingerbread Kisses SVGs in the  Lori Whitlock Shop to make a shaped recipe album. There are four pages inside and each holds at least 4 recipe cards on the front.

There are also spots on the back of each page for pictures of your treats!

There is also a pocket on the front and back cover for more recipes.

The book will stand when closed to also double as a cute decor piece. I hope your holidays have been wonderful, have a great day!

GINGERBREAD KISSES 8X8 STORYBOOK PAGES | with Traci

Hey guys! Traci here and today, I'm sharing my latest 8x8 pages for my granddaughter's monthly scrapbook. If you follow me here at Doodlebug, or over at Artsy Albums, you may have seen the 8x8 Storybook Albums I've created for Rylee. Each month, I make 4 new layouts to highlight our fun moments together. I've just finished my Christmas pages for December and they're filled with the adorable Gingerbread Kisses Collection.

I love this first page. I used the cute 12x12 Hello Santa paper in the background. Then, I made 2 folding cards (aka flippies) for photos & added the December title to one of them using Alphabet Soup stickers in ladybug.

The other 2 spaces are decorative. The little Christmas tree is a die-cut from the Odds & Ends and I added lots of mini jewels to it for the ornaments.

Santa had to make an appearance so, I added the Hello Santa Doodle-pops. He's so cute! I layered him (and the Christmas tree) on top of the Sugar Sprinkles acetate and embellished with more sparkly jewels.

For the second page, I trimmed one of the journaling cards from the Deck the Halls paper and added it to the vertical space on the left. It's perfect for notes, dates, a Christmas list, or ... a memorable story!

The string lights are so fun and colorful and made a perfect photo mat for the top of my flippie. Inside, I added feminine pink hearts with the Berry Floral paper.

Check out the Gingerbread Express truck from the Odds & Ends. With some mini jewels for string lights and a few enamel peppermint candy sprinkles on the tires ... Santa has a fancy new ride!

Rylee and I love baking together so this collection is perfect for us. On this page, I used the colorful Sugarplums paper to make a photo mat and added a few tags from the Season's Greetings print. These are amazing - so many fun ones to choose from!

I embellished with a baking die cut from the Odds & Ends and a few gingerbread puffy stickers. Love these little cookies!

This page has lots of great photo space with 3 mats and a cute little flippie. I made it with a card that I trimmed down from the Holiday Sprinkles print. It's so "merry & bright"!

I hope these pages have given you some fun holiday inspiration. If you'd like to see my other 8x8 monthly pages made with other Doodlebug collections, I have them all linked over on my blog. Have fun with this adorable Gingerbread Kisses Collection!

GINGERBREAD KISSES CHRISTMAS LAYOUT | with Erica

Creating layouts with background cut files is one of my absolute favorite designs! I found a great cut file that is just perfect with the Doodlebug Design Gingerbread Kisses collection.

This Gingerbread Man Background cut file is adorable and I had fun backing it with 6x6 papers from the Gingerbread Kisses collection. I decided to add faces to each of the gingerbreads so I cut some out onto white textured cardstock.

Once my file was backed I added foam adhesive all over the back to pop it up onto some white textured cardstock that I had trimmed down to 11.50x11.50. I matted this onto some pattern papers from the Gingerbread Kisses collection. Next I trimmed down my photos and matted them onto some textured cardstock from the Gingerbread Kisses 12x12 Assorted Cardstock.

I adhered the photos to my layout and picked out one of the title pieces from the Gingerbread Kisses chit chat pieces. I adhered it to some of the coordinating cardstock to help it stand out against the background. I popped up the title piece along the bottom of the photos and then added some embellishment clusters to the left and right of my photos.

I just love how this layout turned out! I love the colorful happy gingerbread cookies and all the fun patterns! Thanks so much for stopping by the Doodlebug Blog today! I hope you enjoyed my layout today!

GINGERBREAD KISSES THANK YOU CARDS | with Karen

Every year during the holidays, I am blown away by the generosity of others. It's one of the best things about this time of year - seeing people reach out and think of one another. When someone goes out of their way to remember me and my family, I love to be able to give back with a little handmade card to express my thanks. So today, I thought I would share some of the "thank-you cards" I recently created with the new Gingerbread Kisses collection.

   All-3-1

What I find really fun about thank-you cards this time of the year is that you can use up some of your Christmas themed papers. For this set, I decided to see how I could play with my product to create something that still had a Christmas feel, but wasn't screaming "Christmas" in the same way that my Christmas cards might have been. Gingerbread kisses is actually the perfect collection to accomplish this. The colours are universal (ly cute) and there are so many die cut shapes that work are not strictly seasonal.

  Odds-and-Ends

Take, for instance, this adorable die cut from the Odds and Ends pack. These recipe books make the perfect card for a thank-you that maybe included a bit of holiday baking!

  Shape-Sprinkles

And this cozy hot chocolate mug works as a thank-you for any tasty treat. Add few adorable shape sprinkles on for some shine, and these simple and easy additions take a simple thank-you sentiment from blah to "oh yay"!

  All-3-2

I actually have a bunch more of these cards to make, but I can't wait to keep the sharing going this season. After all, Christmas might be behind us, but that doesn't mean that we can't keep the season on giving and gratitude going into the new year! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

GINGERBREAD KISSES BAKING SPIRITS BRIGHT LAYOUT | with Brianna

Merry Christmas friends!! Brianna Lepper here and I’m so happy to share a sweet layout of my baby girl, Annie using the Gingerbread Kisses collection. There are so many cute baby photo trends this holiday season and this photo was one that I did with my sweet girl. This collection has some adorable baking elements in it and they were perfect for this page:

To start, I thought the Baking Spirits Bright 12x12 paper would be perfect for this page, so I trimmed down a couple pieces for the top left and bottom right corners. To pull in a bit more brown to go with my cookie theme, I took the B side from that same paper and added a little strip of it. For some extra texture, I pulled some ribbon from my stash and sewed it to both corners.

Here’s the other corner, I added a cute phrase piece from the Chit Chat pack. She really does warm our hearts!!

For my title, I used this adorable piece from the Chit Chat pack and popped it up on foam tape. I layered a circle element from the Bits and Pieces pack right under it and then adhered a few icons from the Odds and Ends pack as well.

I really wanted to add some journaling to this page so I took the clipboard piece from the Odds and Ends pack and added it there. The Baking Spirits Bright Doodle-Pop was PERFECT for this page. All of the cookies on the tray are adorable and fit the theme nicely!

I love adding layers in my embellishment clusters, so I layered a few more circle elements underneath my journaling and added the remaining small stickers from the Doodle-Pop sticker to the rest of my page. To add even more colors to my clusters, I sprinkled in hearts from the Odds and Ends pack and then thought it would be fun to include the candy canes and circles from the Gingerbread Trimmings Shape Sprinkles.

Here's one last look at this festive page:

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way! I hope you have a great holiday with your friends and families!

GINGERBREAD KISSES CHRISTMAS LAYOUT | with Tarrah

Hey creative friends! Christmas is all wrapped up in this cute layout that I created using the Gingerbread Kisses collection! I kept it pretty simple with not too many embellishments and created a gift look to my page even including some curled paper to replicate a curly ribbon bow on the gift.

I started with a plain piece of white cardstock, trimming it down to approximately 11.5' x 11.5' and adhering it to the 'B' side of the 'Hello Santa' paper. I cut some strips of paper from the 'Gift Wrap' paper and adhered them vertically and horizontally to replicate a gift. I did use craft foam to adhere these strips, I like how this creates dimension and shadows on the page. I did machine stitch a border using some red cotton.

For the bow at the top, I cut several strips of paper from the 'Merry and Bright' paper, I looped 2 of them and then curled the ends with my fingers to create the loops in the ends of the bow. This did take a little fiddling and a few goes to get it right, I am glad I persevered though as I love how it turned out! From the bow, I tied one of the cute charmers using some Doodle Twine and also added some die-cut tags too.

I placed 2 small photos in opposite quadrants to each other and kept the embellishments pretty simple. I layered the large Christmas title across the centre of the gift and added one of the pink peppermint sprinkles for the dot in the 'I' in Christmas. I embellished mostly with die-cuts and added some sprinkles to each including the white hearts to Santa's beard and the small enamel dots to the Christmas Tree.

A few other details include the heart row die-cuts and the holly that I added to each corner, I also added some enamel dots to the berries of the holly too. Lastly I stamped the date stamp using black ink. I hope you enjoyed reading about how I created my layout as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you have a wonderful few days celebrating the festive season with your loved ones an that you get some creating time in too!
