6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - HELLO 2025 PART 2 | with Kathy

Hi Everyone, it's Kathy today with the second installment of my Doodlebug 2025 6x8 Mini Album.  As I mentioned in my cover post (here) one of my goals for 2025 was to get back to documenting the everyday life and special events.  I created the clean and colorful cover to my album and I wanted to bring the same feel throughout the rest of the book, so I created quarterly dividers using the same font (Impact) and papers cut using my Silhouette.  Take a peek...

I started with the sprinkled dividers that came with the album.  To each of those,  I attached three month names cut from various Petite Prints, and offset with the Cute & Crafty Bright Ideas lined paper.  I randomly zig-zag stitched around the letters to keep the same look as my cover.  I then glued the sprinkled divider to one of the tabbed chipboard dividers to hide the stitching.  I also added some rainbow petite prints to the tabs.

Next came the fun part... decorating each month with a cute little Doodlebug Icon, and some shaped sprinkles.  I used mostly collections from the past year or two... there were so many to choose from! For January- March I used Icon Stickers and Shaped Sprinkles from Snow Much Fun, Lots of Love and Over the Rainbow.  I just adore the sweet bear with heart balloons!!! He's my favorite!

For April through June, I used Icon Stickers and Sprinkles from Bunny Hop, Hello Again and Farmhouse.

For July though September I used Icons from Hometown USA, Seaside Summer and Farmhouse.

And finally for October through December I used Icons from Hey Pumpkin, Farmers Market and Tinsel Time.

Now I'm ready to get started scrapping my photos!  I'll be back in a couple of weeks to show my first few pages, and a few more divider ideas using my Doodle Stamps and Doodle Cuts.  In the meantime, keep checking the blog for lots more 6x8 Mini Album inspiration!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - BUNNY HOP ALBUM PART 2 | with Conny

Hello everyone! It’s Conny, and today, I'm excited to explore the inside pages and pockets of this fun 6" x 8" mini album with you! If you missed it, we have already decorated the cover, which you can find in the blog post here . Let’s mix it up a little with the interior setup by incorporating elements from both the Hello Again and Bunny Hop collections for these pages.

I love tags!
In the 3" x 4" pockets, I added some colorful sequins and little sprinkles that create a playful vibe, making everything shine. Additionally, I included two sweet photos of Savanna having a great time hunting for eggs in our backyard with her dad! To add a magic touch, I incorporated a cute doodle-pop from the Butterfly Bouquet collection onto one of the cards.

On the back of this page, I added two more photos embellished with Odds and Ends or cardstock stickers. In one of those insert pockets, I included some tag flip pages using the Doodlebug Design - Hello Again Collection - 12" x 12" Double-Sided Paper - Just Because paper, along with a few tags.
It's coming together beautifully, and I'm truly excited to see how everything unfolds in this project! I've chosen to work with the 8 1/4" x 6 1/4" Forever Flowers design for that Large clear pocket. What I love most about this piece is the lovely wreath that already provides a wonderful background, setting the perfect tone. To enhance it further, I added a variety of extra flowers, along with charming butterflies and a cute bunny. I also included the phrase "Thanks for being you" as a heartfelt touch.

For the side pocket page, I decided to create a vibrant and eye-catching look by matting it with a rainbow-colored paper that adds a fun pop. I embellished this section with delightful Doodle-pops, which bring an element of playfulness to the design, as well as using cardstock from my mini album collection. Additionally, I rummaged through my stash and found a few adorable embellishments I had previously created, which fit perfectly with the overall theme of the album. It's all coming together seamlessly, and I can't wait to continue working on it!
I stitched the pocket with my sewing machine to keep the sprinkles inside, and I love that the pocket openings are on the side—nothing spills out. I love that!
Don't forget to enhance the outside of the pockets with various embellishments to create more layers and texture. This will add depth and visual interest to your project! I'm excited to share more of the interior pages of my album in the next post, so make sure to come back and check them out. Happy crafting, everyone! Sending love, Conny!

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - SNOW MUCH FUN WINTER WONDERLAND PART 2 | with Jen

Hi everyone!  It's Jen, and I'm back with some of the inside pages of my Snow Much Fun Mini Album. If you missed my cover post you can find it here.   The new Doodlebug 6x8 albums come with 10 pocket protector pages. There are four configurations: four 3x4 pockets, two 4x6 pockets, two 3x4 and one 4x6, and a large 6x8.

These pockets can be really fun to decorate! For my album I used a combination of 6x6 papers and 12x12 papers. I used stickers from the This and That sticker sheet, Icon sticker, Mini Icon stickers, Odds and Ends, Chit Chat, and Bits and Pieces.

All of my embellishments are added to the outside of the page protector. This keeps the page protectors flat and allows you to pop up the embellishments if you would like.

On some of the pages I added flaps to a couple of pages by taking a piece of white cardstock cutting it to the height of the pocket and then scoring it so it folds over the front, adding the space to add photos.

For this large pocket I added a flap with some acetate for something different.

I have a process video for you here.

I'll be back in a couple of weeks with some more from the inside of my mini!  Have a great day!

6 x 8 MINI ALBUMS - PART 2- WINTER WONDERLAND ALBUM | with Traci

Hello friends! Traci here and today, I'm back to share some of the fun inside pages of my Build a Snowman Winter Scrapbook. (If you missed my cover post, you can see it here.) I designed this with one of the 6x8 Mini Albums in swimming pool and the adorable Winter Wonderland Collection.

This is the first page and it's one of five chipboard tabbed dividers included in the album. I covered it in the pretty purple 12x12 Frosted Forest print and added a strip of the Cozy Cardigan plaid paper on top.

Next, I created two flippies out of white cardstock and 3x4 cards from the other side of the Cozy Cardigan print. I love that these can hold 4 photos on this one mini album page!

Here are pages 2 and 3. These winter colors, patterned papers, and sweet little characters are the cutest.

For page 2, I created a fold-out element on the backside of the tabbed divider. I covered the front of the flap in the floral Nightfall paper and added the polar bear die cut from the Odd & Ends. Then, I created another fun flippie with the 3x4 Hello card and added that along the edge.

Inside the flap, I used the Snow Wonder snowflake paper, a pretty pink die cut from the Odds & Ends, and adhered the 3x4 Let It Snow card to the backside of the Hello card flippie.

On the right, I added the striped Just Chillin' paper, then created a photo mat out of the blue side of the Nightfall print. I finished the page with the adorable moose die cut. ... I just love her sassy side grin. :)

Page 3 is one of four pocket pages that come in the album ready to embellish. I covered the front with the cute snowmen print (Just Chillin') and added the Baby It's Cold Outside sticker from the This & That sheet.

Inside the pocket, I added a few photo mats but you could also save journaling cards and memorabilia here. Add tickets, postcards, notes, invitations, a small map, a recipe, greeting cards, <!--[if gte mso 9]> an itinerary, a brochure, etc.

Here is page 4. It's a great layout for one fabulous photo. I used the Yeti for Winter paper in the background and layered a strip of the Snow Wonder snowflakes on top. I made 2 photo mats from the Frosted Forest print and embellished with some die cuts from the Odds & Ends and Chit Chat.

The album includes 10 assorted clear page protectors and above is one divided into four 3x4 spaces. I added two cute cards from the Cozy Cardigan print and two mats for photos.

I think page 6 may be filled with every one of the adorable winter animals in this collection! That cute background paper is called Snow Cozy. I added 2 photo mats on top and a happy Yeti die cut.

Above is 1 of 4 colorful card stock pages that also come in the album. I folded it in half to create an interactive fold-out page and added some cute Odds & Ends, making sure to leave room for a photo.

Flip that up and there are 3 more photo mats inside made from the polka dot paper called Hit The Slopes and white cardstock.

I hope I've given you a few fun ideas on how to decorate these wonderful 6x8 Mini Albums. Next time, I'll show you more pages from this winter scrapbook. Until then, happy crafting!

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - DECEMBER ALBUM PART 2 | with Erica

Hello Friends! Erica here with you today and this week on the blog I am sharing a peek inside my 6x8 mini album using the vibrant and cheerful Tinsel Time collection! Mini albums are my favorite way to capture holiday memories, and I couldn’t wait to get creative with these pages.

I’m a huge fan of cut files, so I sized down this gorgeous ornament background (from my shop) to fit perfectly into my album. After backing it with colorful patterned papers from Tinsel Time, I added foam adhesive for dimension and adhered it to my page base. The result? A page that’s full of texture and holiday cheer!

Another layout design I love is a classic grid. It’s clean, organized, and perfect for adding multiple photos or embellishments. For this page, I paired the grid with adorable Odds & Ends from the collection—it’s simple, but so effective!

To add a little extra interest to my album, I incorporated cards and envelopes as additional pages. They’re so versatile and bring a fun interactive element to the album. I’ll fill these with journaling, mini photos, or even tiny keepsakes to make them extra special.

Once all my pages are finished, I’ll add in my photos and journaling to complete the album.

I can’t wait to show you the final result next time! To see my my previous post that shows my album cover, click here.  Thanks for stopping by!

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - DOODLE POP STORAGE PART 2 | with Karen

Today is the day - the day I finally get to share with you some of the fun I have been having with my Doodle Pops and the new 6x8 album from Doodlebug. You might remember that I decided to use my album for a bit of a different project - as a sticker book for my favourite Doodle Pops. In my last post (here), I shared the cover I designed but today we get to start on the inside and I am so excited to share with you just how well this album works for this purpose!

   Layout-1a

Before I jump in, I need to share a little secret. I have a lot of Doodle Pops. And by a lot, I mean far more than I could ever store in this cute album. But one of the reasons I created this album is because I do have some Doodle Pops that I love more than others - yup, I have favourites. And I honestly think it is my favourites that keep me from using these in cuties more often. So I thought that if I could separate out my favourites and put them in this album knowing that it was okay to set these ones aside for me, it might make it easier to actually use the other ones that are oh, so cute, but not ones I want to be buried with (if you know what I mean). So before I even started the album, I actually put them all out on my kitchen table and sorted them - favourites for collecting and all the rest that I may use for crafting. It was a job! In the end though, I had a reasonable pile that I was excited to invest time into putting into the album. The rest got sorted by category and colour and were put back in my Doodlebug box for crafting.

  Layout1b

So back to the album! The pages actually end up being the perfect dimension for the Doodle Pops. I started simple with a full 6x8 page protector. I grabbed 4 Doodle Pops that coordinated theme wise and then cut out a piece of 12x12 paper (this one from the Made With Love collection). I then spaced them out and used a small piece of double sided adhesive on the back. And that was it! One other note on my approach here. It would also totally work for you to pull the Doodle Pop off of the packaging and place them on the paper but I still wanted to be able to remove them and use them elsewhere if I was ever so inclined. So I kept these ones on the packaging. Once they were taped on, I slipped the Doodle Pops into the sleeve and these 4 were all done - just like that!

  Layout-2a

For the next 4, I used the page protector that is divided into 2 - 6x4 sections.

  Layout-2b

I had fun coordinating these ones with some papers from the Hello collection. I also decided that I wanted to see if I could find a different way to attach these Doodle Pops to the page and I ended up using some Mini Paper Clips. This actually ended up being my favourite way to attach the Doodle Pops to the paper backing and you will notice (in future posts) that I used this approach a number of times in the sticker album.

  Layout-3

On this last spread that I wanted to share today, I used the page protector that is sectioned into 4 - 3x4 sections. These are about as perfect as they can get for the size of Doodle Pops on their packaging. In fact, if you want a totally easy way to store your Doodle Pops, grab these page protectors and just slip them in! I decided to add a bit of Petite Prints in Pistachio Plaid-Polka dot paper - the cuties on this page look like they were designed to be there.

  Sticker

Finally, I also wanted to share a little trick that I discovered as I was creating - the actual page protectors make great release paper for the sticker too. For these donuts, I actually just places the patterned paper inside the sleeve but put the sticker on top. I still did place all of the Doodle Pops inside the sleeves to protect them, but for these flat stickers that I might also like to reuse at some point, putting them on the outside work perfectly! They pull off like a dream but with enough adhesion to all hold them in place. And it becomes a fun way to embellish some of the pages that do not have as many Doodle Pops on them. These stickers were from the Cream and Sugar collection. So that is it today for the easiest and quickest ways to get your Doodlebugs in your sticker album. I'll be back in a couple of weeks to show you a few different ways that you can add them in so that they look great but can still be used elsewhere if you ever decide that you can part with them! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

6 X 8 MINI ALBUMS - OUR HAPPY FAMILY PART 2 | with Brianna

Hey friends! Brianna here today and I'm so excited to share a few things from inside my Family themed 6x8 Mini Album using the Farmhouse collection. Here's a look at the first thing you see when you open my album:

I love to create shaker elements on my projects, so I knew I had to include one (or maybe two..) inside this album. I wanted to include a fun embellishment inside the shaker element itself, so I adhered the Thankful For You Shaker Pop on the inside of one of the plastic sleeves. I then poured in quite a bit of the Fall Flowers and Shades of Fall Shakers mixes and sealed it up by running it through my sewing machine. I love how it turned out!

Right after my large shaker element, you'll find these two spreads. I had so much fun making these!! I mainly create 12x12 layouts with a few mini albums thrown in.. So when I do create a mini, I have a lot of fun with them. I do have to say though, I find it a little more challenging to create on a smaller canvas versus creating on a larger one. I don't know if it's the limited space that throws me off or if it's something that will just go away if I create in that size more often.

Here's the left half of my spread, where I trimmed out my cards using the Fall Bouquet 12x12 paper and then cut out the 'Fall Memories' card from the Woodland Berries 12x12 paper for some journaling. I matted my photos with the 6x6 Paper Pad and embellished around them using a few elements from the Bits & Pieces pack. I also included a few Puffy Icons stickers, a tag from the Chit Chat pack and some word phrase stickers from the 12x12 Icons sticker sheet.

For the top card on the right side of this spread, I adhered a large journaling piece from the Bits & Pieces pack and layered my photo to the right of it. I then added a simple phrase banner piece from the Chit Chat pack and added some of the Flower Farm Shape Sprinkles around. For the bottom card, I cut out a 3x6 strip of paper from the 6x6 Paper Pad and stuck it right in the middle. I matted my photo using another piece of paper and layered it behind a large die cut from the Bits & Pieces pack. I then finished it off by adding in a few Puffy Icon heart stickers.

Here's one last look:

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way. If you missed my first mini album post, you can read it here.  I'm really enjoying working in this album and sharing bits and pieces along the way. I'll see you in my next post friends!
