Instead, during the Spy Genre/James Bond era, this WONDER WOMAN seems as if a resilient Bond girl took over the 007 mantle. And instead of powers she has karate skills and can catch a high flying spear... thrown by one of her former island dames played by Anitra Ford, a leggy model who, gorgeous and BRUNETTE, while killing it as an underused nemesis (exceeding a slow-speaking money-stealing Ricardo Montalbán or a flirtatiously lethal Andrew Prine) would've aesthetically made a better WONDER WOMAN. But Crosby does a pretty decent job for a decent-enough time-filling/action-packed curio: So she alone deserves credit for initially laying out the iconic character's groundwork... even if what ended up working went completely against her portrayal. <br></p><p><span></span></p>

Meanwhile Farrah Fawcett... alone on the DVD cover as if this AIRLINE were her very own vehicle (three years before CHARLIE'S ANGELS, sharing producer Aaron Spelling)... is the perfect eye-candy stewardess, and able to actually act a few times since there's an ongoing tension. Even providing George Maharis some nice edgy scenes back at the tower, where most plane-in-peril thrillers remain on cruise control. </p><span></span>

As in, antagonistic, nosy and downright pushy to her new boss (hired for light housekeeping) played by benign THAT GIRL actor Ted Bessell... </p><p>Who, it turns out, harbors a crazy sister in the guest house and, well, let's just say the end twist of this Universal TV-Movie is both predictable and blasphemous to a theatrical classic about a man-child with mommy-issues... And yet the dark and contained setting serves up a nicely balanced combination of old school haunted house and modern exploitation body count, which only includes two victims but it's genuinely terrifying how "the sister" looks, knife-poised in semi-darkness, and it's no surprise this kinda show scared television audiences when we all had relatively small screens as today, a wider view uncovers all the dated flaws... yet there's still a nice little short-story vibe showcasing both the creepiness of a slowburn-creepy little tale and the monkey-cuteness of the ingenue (who'd appear on a Columbo with the same stock music). </p><p><span></span></p>

But that doesn't mean this SEDUCTION doesn't have value. There's a good amount of suspense while she's actually gambling (mostly Black Jack) within the plush Tahoe casino, and one morning-after as she rushes to her apartment seconds before her husband arrives is a genuine nail-biter. Meanwhile, best pal Dinah Manoff has potential as a boy-crazy sidekick... <i>if</i> this were a series-pilot instead... But GINA is a basic tale about what happens when a gorgeous young lady has too much free-time that winds up costing. If only she stuck with the polite millionaire and dropped the whiny loser...
