The pattern is in US terms

Items required 
4mm (6) and 5mm (H) hooks.  If you don’t have a 4mm hook use a 4.25mm (G) hook.
Double knit (8 ply) Black, white & Orange

Guidelines
At the end of each round just carry on.
Mark the start of each round and then move marker as a round is completed.
HK - hook
CH - chain
SS – Slip Stitch
SC – Single crochet
SC Inc – Single Crochet Increase. Increase by placing 2 sc in 1 stitch.
SC Dec – Single Crochet Decrease. Hook through 1st stitch, yarn over hook, pull hook through, hook through next stitch, yarn over hook, pull through. Yarn over hook and through 1st 2 loops, yarn over hook and through last 2 loops.
HDC – half double crochet
HDC Inc – Half double crochet Increase.  Increase by placing 2 hdc in 1 stitch.
HDC Dec – Half double crochet decrease.  Yarn over hook, through 1st stitch, yarn over hook through, hook through next stitch, yarn over hook pull through.  Yarn over hook and pull through all the loops.
DC – Double crochet
DC Inc - Double crochet Increase. Increase by placing 2 dc in 1 stitch
DC Dec – Double crochet decrease. Yarn over hook, through 1st stitch, yarn over hook through, yarn over hook, hook through next stitch, yarn over hook pull through.  Yarn over hook and pull through 1st 2 loops, yarn over hook and through all the hoops left.

Using 5mm (H) hook and Black yarn.
Ch 26
Row 1) 1 hdc in 3rd ch hk, 23 hdc, ch 2, turn
Row 2 - 18) 24 hdc, ch 2, turn
Row 19) 24 hdc, ch 31, turn
Row 20) 1 hdc 3rd ch hk, 52 hdc all the way to the end, ch 2, turn
Row 21) 53 hdc across, ch 2, turn
Row 22) 2 hdc, ch 1, miss st, 49 hdc, ch 2, turn
Row 23)   53 hdc across, finish

Face
White Yarn & 4mm (6) Hook
Ch 2
Round 1) 6 hdc in 2nd ch from hk (carry on moving stitch marker to the start of each row as you go)
Round 2) 6 hdc inc
Round 3) *1 hdc, 1 hdc inc* x 6
Round 4) *2 hdc, 1 hdc inc* x 6
Round 5) *3 hdc, 1 hdc inc* x 6
Round 6) *4 hdc, 1 hdc inc* x 6
Round 7) *5 hdc, 1 hdc inc* x 6
Round 8) *6 hdc, 1 hdc inc* x 6
Round 9) 2 ss, 5 hdc in the nxt hdc, 4 ss, 5 hdc in the nxt hdc, 2 ss, turn

Eyes x 2
Black Yarn & 4mm (6) Hook
Ch 2
Round 1) 6 hdc in 2nd ch from hk, ss to join, finish (leave enough yarn to attach to face)

Attach the eyes to the face

Beak
Orange Yarn & 4mm (6) Hook
Ch 5
Row 1) 1 sc in 2nd ch from hk, 3 sc, ch 1, turn
Row 2) 2 sc dec, ch 1, turn
Row 3) 1 sc dec, finish (leave enough yarn to attach to face)

Attach the beak to the face

Attach the face to the bib

Feet x 2
Orange yarn & 4mm (6) Hook
Ch 4
Row 1) 1 hdc in 3rd ch from the hk, 1 hdc, ch 2, turn
Row 2) 2 hdc inc, ch 2, turn
Row 3) 1 hdc inc, 2 hdc, 1 hdc inc, ch 2, turn
Row 4) 2 hdc, 2 ss, 2 hdc, finish (leave enough yarn to attach the feet to the bib)

Attach the feet to the bib

Attach the button to the bib for the strap to fasten to.

Your bib is now finished. Do not leave any child under 36 months unattended with an item with buttons.
