Cranes

This week's theme on Wicked Wednesday is Anything Goes Autumn Related. I have this pic of cranes flying somewhere warmer for the months to come.

Something Scary!

Currently on display (and for sale) at the Linden Gallery Postcard Show (St Kilda in Melbourne, Australia).
Titled "The Boss", quilling on canvas (10" x 8") from an original photograph of my cat.
And if you don't think this boss is scary, take my word for it  -  the work has this title for a reason.

Had to show off!

And now for the ATC.
She's on her way!

Thanks to Halloween, there is a beautiful variety of challenges to link this ATC to. These include:

-   ATC Around the World Alles geht mit opt. Gruselig (Anything Goes with Option Scary).
-   Show Us Your Pussies Meowloween.

Spiralled Skull

I love how Americans love Halloween. It is such an ace holiday!
Here is an ATC with a skull made from spiralled quilling strips.

Linking up to:

Digital Halloween

A while back I won a prize on Wicked Wednesday  - digital stamps from Pinkydolls. So I had a go digitally colouring one in. I used the ArtSet Pro app on my iPad together with the Apple pencil. I used markers, pencils, pastel sticks and a blending stump - all totally electronic. Then printed out.
And it's ready for Wicked Wednesday Halloween Cute or Creepy weekly challenge.

Halloween & Autumn

This week, Wicked Wednesday's theme is Anything Goes Halloween. On ATC's mit Herz, the October theme is Herbst (Autumn).
So here goes something:

Wings

For this week's challenge on Wicked Wednesday - Fins, Feathers or Fur, I have the wings of my favourite fallen angel.

Starting to get ready

For Wicked Wednesday's challenge Add a Die Cut, I have a Christmas ATC.........   only because I happen to have this particular die cut lying around and wanted to destash.

Autumn Stuff

Here is my response to the Mushrooms challenge on ATC's met Herz:

Was hoping to capture the little stems hiding in the grass
More stems?

And for Sunday Postcard Art, here is my contribution for this week's theme - Harvest Moon:

Getting Ready for Halloween

We don't have Halloween here, wish we did. Marketing people try to push it here and there, but it's just not going to happen.
Instead, I read some disturbing info the other day. My cat's pet supermarket's latest newsletter called to owners to keep their jet black cats inside around October 31st, as there have been increased incidents of black cats being tortured or killed around this time of year. I have no words for the idiots engaging in these crimes. So, if you have a black cat, get them to celebrate Halloween with you indoors.
On a happier note, here is a black cat safely inspecting pumpkins, in preparation for the holiday we come to know well from American TV shows and films   :)

To raise awareness and champion the black cat cause, linking this ATC to:

Circus Acts and Carnivals

Over at Sunday Postcard Art, it's Circus this week. Here is my view of circus (which I love for the acrobat component and hate because of the animal component):

And a second ATC for ATC Around the World September challenge Anything Goes with Option Sun, Moon and Stars. In this second entry, I am sticking with the option - sun, moon and stars.
I have a tarot spread. Do you think I will win the lottery?

Autumn Colours

Although we don't have much of a change between seasons here, I have lived in northern Europe and know all about those autumns. For Wicked Wednesday's first topic in September - Fall Colours, I have quilled leaves using narrow 1.5mm (1/16") paper strips. I wanted to create splotch effects on the paper using salt, but looks like Kraft is too tough for salt  :)
Enjoy the gorgeous palette, all you northern climate dwellers.

Also linking up to ATC Around the World Anything Goes (with onion Sun, Moon and Stars). I am working on the specific Sun, Moon & Stars ATC and will publish it later in the month.

And More Nature

Sunday Postcard Art's theme for this week is Leaves. We don't have much of those glorious autumns the northern hemisphere is known for, but I have lived in northern Europe and have kicked through those leaves  :)
This week I have quilled leaves using narrow 1.5mm (1/16") paper strips. I have also rediscovered a stash of various 6"x4" cards, perfect for postcard challenges. Would like to thank Sunday Postcard Art for showcasing my postcard from last week, which you can see here.
Linking up to Moo Mania & More for the second time this fortnight for their Nature's Beauty theme.

Unique Pets

Or maybe we're not so unique. For this week's Wicked Wednesday ATC topic - Unique Pets, I am sharing with you what our household is like - we are owned by our cat who keeps us on short leashes

Also linking up to one of my owner's favourite blogs - Show Us Your Pussies, where this month's topic is Furrything Goes.

It is also our boss's birthday today - September 1st. Happy birthday, Master!

Summer Camp

I don't like the time I live in. Would have liked to be an adult either in the 60's or in the far future, where all the Star Trek fantasies are realities. But I'm here, now and have an ATC ready for this week's homework on Wicked Wednesday - Summer Camp.

Another ATC in the Set

Anthropomorphism, Wicked Wednesday's theme this week, what an interesting concept. A while back, I made a quilled hammer march from Pink Floyd's The Wall. This time I have the animated flowers from the same film.

A New View

I have just ordered my very first seeing glasses. That's it, my fantastic 20-20 vision is a bit less now. I am really happy about getting my first glasses, just as I am about my salt & pepper hair - there is something noble about growing older.
So, for this month's topic Alles geht mit opt. Fotoinspiration (Anything Goes with Option Photoinspiration) on ATC Around the World, I have rose-coloured glasses. I will probably still see the greyness of life (because grey is beautiful), but working on my crafts will become much easier.

This is the photoinspiration to work from:

Sunshiney Yellow

Quilled Australian wattle, apt for the Rio Olympics (these are always the colours of the Oz sports uniforms), as well as for Wicked Wednesday's topic this week - Sunshiney Yellow.

And, since this month's topic is Alles geht (Anything Goes) on ATC's met Herz, I am linking to you as well.

Something from the Beach

Be good if you could find enough of those for a whole necklace and a pair of earrings........   just by walking along the beach. For Wicked Wednesday's Things You Might Find at the Beach:

Peacock Feather

Can't control myself, have to show off again. Just found out I won second place with this quilled tiara (second place?! - honestly, what's the world coming to?!). Didn't get the Silhouette Cameo (doesn't matter, I have the Portrait machine), but won the Mint and accessory kit as well as a mysterious gift package.

Meanwhile, beautiful Wicked Wednesday ATC blog have presented us with a colour palette this week. I immediately saw a peacock amongst these colours. Here is one feather using 1.5mm (1/16") narrow strips.

This is the palette to work from:

Could I also dare to sneak this ATC into Moo Mania & More for this fortnight's theme - Summer? Don't know how summery a peacock is, but the colours sure are. Anyway, if I am off topic, please feel free to remove me. But I know you won't 'cause you love me  ;)    Ha, ha, just joking  :)

Head Space

A quilled tiara I made for a quilling competition. Hope I win it - first prize is a Silhouette Cameo machine with mat together with a Silhouette Mint, which is a custom stamp maker.
The tiara is approximately 13cm (5") in diameter and 7cm (2.8") high at the highest point.

Wicked Wednesday have Hair Do as the topic for this week. Here is my quilled hair ATC:

Would also like to show these pieces at Moo Mania & More, where it's Anything Goes this week.
