XUE means “snow” in Mandarin. It is also my name & my daughter's middle name.

A collection of art, craft, jewelry, patchwork, sewing, quilting, all inspired by daily exposure to Western & Asian cultures since ours is a mixed Chinese & European family. Read about our life amidst craft in this latest land we are living in, after 20 years of moving around the world. I write about making pretty things we love & about my crafty kids - whom we love. And my husband too, since he designed my website! He started it & my Etsy shop because getting started & all this technical stuff drove me nuts!

When we first played with mosaics ...

We made these when Annika was 6 & Niklas was 8 & Mama was not too young.

The children likes to draw & make things. This was one project that we had so much fun experimenting. After many cuts & blisters, these was what we come up as our first pieces. We have since made a few more !

Annika did the "flower".
Niklas did the "fish".
Mama did the "square".

Those are fantastic mosaics - and so cool to discover you live in Tokyo, where the time is already my birthday!

I was in Tokyo this summer - my first time there, I loved it and am going back in January for the quilt festival!

.. I wrote about Japan on my blog :D
