we're gonna dream in full color
We're gonna dream in full color and sleep like in a 5-star hotel in our brand new Suite 702 bedding.
The name SUITE702 is a nod to the famous Bed-In by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. In 1969, during their honeymoon, they spent a whole week in bed, in Suite 702 of the Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam South. John and Yoko's Bed-In was all about World Peace. In this hectic world of always on, just like John Lenon and Yoko Ono, we should log out more often.
Let's stay in bed for a whole week!

backyard vibes on saturday
It's planting and repotting season. We prune, sweep, mow the grass, rake and enjoy drinks and a meal in the garden in between.
Tidying everything up and getting the backyard ready for a new outdoor season.
The pink Fermob bench we already have for ten years now and it's still perfect, so truly sustainable design.

indigo block print kaftan from ibiza
I always get a lot of questions about my outfits in (private) messages on instagram and mails in response to blog posts.
Some kaftans are made by myself, some of them I found in secondhand shops, most of them I found abroad. Some in Lisbon, some in Londen. And some online.
This block print kaftan dress is from Aurobelle Ibiza. Have a look at their colourful exclusieve collection! The aim of owner Jane is to create beautiful garments in the most ethically and environmentally conscious way possible and support artisanal practices around the world, making each piece uniquely beautiful.
I fell in love with this indigo blue beauty! A super light organic cotton fabric, awesome handmade block print design and even pockets!
Slow fashion, wear clothes that matter.
Throughout the years i've discovered my kaftan dresses are timeless and perfect summer wear for almost any occasion.
I started wearing kaftans when i went to Marrakech more often. It feels more comfortable and respectful to adapt your outfit to the culture and it's effective in the heat and yet very feminine.
I've been wearing my kaftan collection for years and it's not going to fall out of fashion, so it moreover seems to be the most sustainable part of my wardrobe.
The ones who know me, know that I could wear kaftans all day every day...
A kaftan in summertime creates comfort, ease in the heat, and very much a sense of grace. Also after summer, a kaftan is the perfect stylish loungewear after a bath or shower. You can wear it all year around.
Alltogether slow fashion!

slow fashion & sustainable souvenirs
Even before the term 'slow fashion' existed, I was already acting this way.
I always preferred original, beautiful and quality fashion to enjoy in a responsible and sustainable way.
Developing a personal, timeless style, is essential to avoid getting sucked into the madness of chasing after the latest trends.
Many items of my clothes- and shoes collection I already have for years, sometimes more than 20 years.
Although some of you might see me as 'Imelda Marcos', in reality it is not that excessive.
The same rule as it comes to interior objects. I try to follow the sustainable style, by buying for example timeless interior souvenirs.

The utterly cute hare is one of the hare family that I bought years ago at Anthropologie also has made its appearance from the attic. The traditional 'model' on the recycled x-mas tree.
If you want this unique handmade and eco friendly Christmas tree that lasts for years and takes up little space, this is the last chance.

december decorations
And suddenly it's December and freezing cold outside.
Time for warm woolen sweaters, beanies, candles and everything that belongs to this time of year. Christmas countdown...
The utterly cute hare family also has made its appearance.
They are my traditional models on the new collection of wooden x-mas trees last week.
Are you December ready yet? Do you have your tree up?
If you want a sustainable tree that lasts for years and takes up little space, you have 6 pieces left to choose from. This is the time.

jubilee for a sustainable evergreen
New sustainable and unique handmade trees in the SHOP
10 years in a row, a jubilee year for the original woodwoolstool x-mas tree.
I'd rather don't mention the x-word yet, but already got some questions about the trees this weekend.
Therefore, entirely according to tradition, I've made a small collection of the eco-friendly trees for the enthusiasts.
It's never too early (and late) for an evergreen! Have a look and pick your favorite.

100% wool
Dille & Kamille (dill & chamomile) is one of my favorite Dutch concept stores.
The wonderful mix of sustainable products, all with a natural simplicity, are timeless.
It's simply impossible for me to leave the Dille & Kamille shop without buying anything.
I've bought some 100% wool balls in their shop in Rotterdam some weeks ago.
I chose the nude colors, but they are all very pretty.
Although I'm still working on the black knitted sweater dress, I started a 100% wool crochet-side-project today.
The balls were calling, from the cupboard on my desk, when I was working ;)
to be continued...
