december ☆

december december december december december december

Just like last year no Christmas tree in da house, only a few pine- and eucalyptus branches.

The eucalyptus branch is a souvenir from the hotel in Essaouira where we stayed last October. The gardener was pruning the huge eucalyptus trees on the property and I asked him if I could have one to take home with me. The guy looked rather surprised, but he thought it was funny.

I have searched everywhere in the attic for our x-mas hares family this morning, but have not been able to find them yet. Well tomorrow I will make another attempt, because it's no Christmas without our cute traditional hares around.

For now we are okay with the a little extra 'green', a paper star and lots of candles in the run-up to Christmas.

Slowly getting into the Christmas mood...

A new snowy x-mas garland in our attic room.

Actually, it's just my original wood & wool garland, simply added a bit of x-mas atmosphere with an embroidered snowy star...

Monday morning and the sun is doing its utmost best to make a fresh start to the week!

The white x-mas star & wood & wool stool are looking awesome in this bright sunlight.

I simply love the combination of lots of whites & colors!

The stool I've made for Emmanuelle, will travel all the way to Switzerland and I guess the stool will have a white Christmas!

Sunday afternoon during the 'autumn storm' we brought a visit to Rotterdam.
At Sissy Boy Homeland we bought some Christmas decorations.
In the shop various white stars flickered on the high ceiling. Very beautiful!
We chose this star to bring home and put it high on the locker cabinet.
There's a light inside for a somewhat early x-mas mood!

wood & wool wear

New; wood & wool wear!

Something completely different, although with my favorite ingredients.
The baby cardigans are made of 100% merino big wool and have two cute handmade wooden buttons. On the back a bright st☆r!

I've made two cardigans so far. The first one is made of madras yellow big wool with white sleeves and a pink st☆r on the back and pink edging. The other cardigan is made or white hot big wool with a bright orange st☆r on the back and indigo blue edging.

Now in my Etsy shop.

shining stars & bright baubles

The beautiful bright colored paper stars are from Sissy Boy Homeland. They have many pretty colors, so I think it's very modest I have only picked the orange and pink stars.

The inspiration for the Christmas chain I also got at Sissy Boy Homeland. Their wonderful chain of colored pearls, I applied on our tiny colored baubles and I crocheted them together. Piece of cake!
