Tea-rrific, CTMH March Stamp of the Month

I have some cards to share with you today that I made with the Close To My Heart March Stamp of the Month set, Tea-rrific.

On the first two cards, I coloured the image with my inks and my waterbrush, and the papers are from Fundamentals Paper Packets.

On this next card, I paper pieced the image with Dreamin' Big papers.

On this fourth card, I coloured the tea cups with my ShinHan markers, then I used Liquid Glass over top of the image, to give it a shiny look.

Tea-rrific is available only until March 31st!

Happy creating! :)

Get Well...

Wow, life gets busy in spurts, doesn't it?  I found some time to post this card before heading off for work today.  I've mostly been busy with making cards that people have purchased and getting them in the mail once they're ready to go.  (Thanks again to all of you!)
I'm all caught up now, except I need to finish "drawing up" my newest sketch I used in the above card, so I can email it out to those receiving cards from me using this sketch.  I'm hoping I can get it done and emailed out before I head out for work.  ;)

I really like this sketch!  I love the scallop detail at the bottom, too.  So pretty.

I hope to find time to do some creating for myself soon, and I'll attempt to get caught up on some other posting I've been wanting to do to share with you.

Happy creating!  :)

Cowboy Get Well card for my Dad...

Okay, I decided to re-make my other pop-up card I did today to make it more suitable for my Dad. This is a much more simplified, less frilly card...

Again, here's the link for the tutorial: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/surprise_pop_up_card/

What I used:

Sarsaparilla B&Ts
Black, Colonial White, Barn Red and Twilight cardstocks
Twilight, Barn Red and Black inks
Out West stamp set
Genuine Country stamp set
Say It In Style stamp set
White Uni-ball Signo Gel Pen
Staedtler triplus gel-liner pens in Gold and Silver (for some detail on the cowboy hat)
Black CTMH marker
Twill ribbon
Metal silver grommet (WalMart - sewing dept.)
Pop-dots
1" circle punch
2" circle punch
Circle Coluzzle (for the 2 larger circles)
Sponge

Pop-up Card...

I took out some supplies this morning after I saw the tutorial for this card on the SCS newsletter. Here's the link for the tutorial: Surprise Pop Up Card

What I used:

Cranberry Fleurs Des Jardines B&T (retired)
Cranberry, Olive and White Daisy cardstocks
Cranberry and Black inks
White Uni-ball Signo Gel Pen
Black CTMH marker
Cranberry grosgrain, Black organdy and Olive Chenille Sassy strands
Metal silver grommet (WalMart - sewing dept.)
Pop-dots
1" circle punch
2" circle punch
2 1/2" Mega Marvy Uchida scallop circle punch
3" Giga Marvy Uchida scallop circle punch
Ticket tag corner punch (SU)
Black bitty brad
Sponge

To make the center flowers, I just cut the larger one out of the B&T, inked the edges and pop-dotted it. Then I cut the smaller one from the B&T, inked it's edges, put a bitty brad on it and pop-dotted it onto the larger flower.

I was planning on making a card for my Dad who's in the hospital, but it turned into this. Really not manly at all, but I might give it to him anyway and make him another card that is more his style when I get some more time... You'd think I'd have a card suitable for him in all my gazillions of cards I have made, but no.

Wishing You Well

I love the bright colors in this card. It's bright enough to cheer someone up if they are'nt feeling well... I was wondering if I'd ever be able to use my Orange, Taffy and Parchment cardstocks up, that are just sitting here in their crate, begging me to be used. They've been feeling really unwanted lately, 'cause my hand passes over them too often, grabbing other colors all around them... Well, cheer up! And quit pouting... I grabbed you and actually like how you all look together! LOL I used Cottage Floral for the flower, cut it out, pinched the petals and dabbed with Stickles for a little sparkle. For the polka dot, I used my Spot On Backgrounds and for the sentiment, a set I just got recently and hadn't played with yet; Say It In Style, the May SOTM. I also used my Cuttlebug for the embossing which I sanded to have the white core show through the Orange C/S. And lastly, Black Bitty Brads and a Ticket Corner Punch (from SU - egads!). I think that's about it!
