Guest Designer : Sheri Levitt x2

Today we are being joined by the talented Sheri Levitt again.

HI everyone Sheri here again. I'm back for my second Guest DT project.

I had gotten a couple of these 5x7 canvases at the thrift store last year. One day I was looking through my boxes in my craft room (yes my craft room is still not totally unpacked yet.) I found these so I took one to use for my guest DT.

I glued down a black and white paisley napkin with matte medium. I then took some water down yellow and pink craft paint on the canvas. Didn't like how that looked so I used magenta craft paint and painted over the canvas.

Next I stamped the Line of Chevrons and the 6 hexagon stamps using black craft paint. I had some white lace in my stash that I sprayed with Black Dylusion spray. after it dried I glued it on the canvas with Helmar 450 quick dry.I made some drips with the Black Dylisons spray and Tinsel Color Shine by Heidi Swapp. I then I glued down the silver beaded trim and the black pearl trim to hide the lack of color when I spayed water to make the drips. Finally for the background I felt it needed some white, So I used the heart confetti stencil by UmWowStudio with White Linen Dylusion spray. I also painted the edges of the canvas with black craft paint.

I stamped the Umbrella Girl on white cardstock and colored her with Artist Loft Watercolors and the pearlesent watercolors also by Artist Loft.  The girl I used foam tape and glued her onto the canvas. The I'm a fruit Loop sentiment I stamped on with Black Versafine ink pad on white cardstock, and glued onto the canvas.

Welcome back SAMANTHA! {Guest Designer}

Today we're welcoming back August Guest designer SAMANTHA KAMINSKI.

She has brought us a beautiful ATC

Design Project Two –Artist Trading Card
ATC Theme:Fairy
Title: Sparkle Always
Quote: Don't let anyone ever dull your SPARKLE!

Products Used:
o   White Card Stock x2
o   Bo Bunny Paper Back to Basics – Country Garden x2
o   Distress Ink Pads – Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Festive Berries
o   Water Brush
o   Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad
o   Crafter's Workshop Stencil
o   Glue and Double Sided Tape
o   Stickles - Diamond
o   Distressing Tool
o   Scissors

Here's a tutorial on creating this beautiful bit from Samantha:

First cut your card stock to an Artist Trading Card size (3.5x2.5”). I used my Silhouette Cameo which I created a template, for both the ATC and a card slightly smaller than the ATC.

I like my ATC nice and strong so I will generally always glue patterned paper to card stock to make it stronger. Using Distress Inks  (Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick) and TCW Stencil I created a subtle flower background on the ATC.

Next I stamped VLVS Fairy image with Memento Black on the card (slightly smaller than the ATC).

I used TCW Stencil and Distress Inks again to create the same flower background around the stamped fairy.

I then added some colour (Festive berries ink using a water brush) to the fairies dress.

I let it dry before I added glitter to the wings and dress.
Using my distress tool I distressed the edges of the paper and cut some slits on the side. I then adhered this to the ATC.

The quote was printed on white card stock from my computer and distressed inked using the same colour scheme. I also added glitter around the edges.

Then to finish it off - More Glitter, just around the edges of the ATC.

You won't believe this project from yesterday by Suzanne! She uses a whole plate of stamps and no patterned paper to create her layout.

Today I'm sharing a total of four projects! the first two come from Judy -- she was having so much fun with her new inks and stamps that she kept going after the first!

Judy used Clearsnap Archival Dye Glacier Lake and Wicked Black ink. Smooch Pearlized Accent Inks in Pumpkin, Sassy Pink and Gold Lame. She also used VLVS! images Explore, Men in Balloon Basket, Girl in Polka Dot Dress, Writing background , Diamond Harlequin BG and Ultra High Gloss Embossing Powder.

2nd up we have Susan M. Brown:

Tags are popular among our stamping crew, and scene stamping on them is a favorite! Susan used ColorBox Archival Dye Inks - Wicked Black and & Khaki Green; ColorBox Cats Eye Chalk Inks - Citrus Yellow, Lime Pastel, Wisteria, Creamy Brown, Orchid Pastel, and Prussian Blue; Smooch Spritz - Gingersnap; Smooch - Banana Custard, Sweet Melon, Lettuce, and Plum Berry from "JUICY" smooch mini kit. (Right?! Go girl!) As well as VLVS! Images Bunny looking Right Large, GrassLeprechaun on Mushroom,  and Mushroom. She finished off the tag with the letters for HOPPY from our December Daily Plate and the Easter stamp.

And last but certainly not least today we have Lea:

She's brought us this springy colored stunner by starting with Bo Bunny Press papers and enhancing them with VLVS! Stamps Orange and a Half and Feed Your Soul, as well as Clearnsap Sundance Yellow Smooch, Greenapple Smooch, Carrot Orange smooch

Now head over to the Clearsnap blog to see what they've cooked up :)
(P.S. don't forget to leave a comment for your chance to win the plate o' rubber of your choice!)

Guest Designer Pauline!

Good morning stampers :)

Today I'm introducing our February Guest Designer.. PAULINE!

Here's a little introduction by Pauline herself.. Hi, I'm Pauline Butcher, I live in historical Warwick, England, with my partner Robin, and have three grown up sons, one of which is still home with us. I have my own craft room (my haven), where I can often be found getting quite messy, lolI have been crafting, in one way or another for most of my life, (dressmaking, drawing, sewing, sugar craft and cake making) but discovered a passion for sticking bits of coloured card and paper together, twelve years ago. My addiction to stamps, stamping, and everything inky, became apparent 3 years ago, there is nothing more rewarding than making something beautiful, out of a few scraps of inked paper and card, for people to enjoy.

And now I have two awesome pieces to share of hers!

6"x 6" white card. Rose background stamped twice in 'Momento ink' in 'London Fog'.
One image left plain, one image coloured using  'Promarkers',   Rose Pink, Pastel Pink and Blossom. Girl In Polka Dot Dress, stamped in 'Momento ink' in 'Tuxedo Black'. and coloured using 'Promarkers', Rose Pink, Blossom, Pastel Pink, Satin, Putty, Sunkissed Pink, Ice Grey 1, Ice Grey 2. Chevron Banner and Be Adorable, stamped using 'Tim Holtz Distress Ink' in Pickled Raspberry. I also used a 'Tonic Border punch' for the lace, and added a few gems.

Garland Heart stamped using Momento ink Tuxedo Black and coloured using 'Promarkers' in Berry Red, Cocktail Pink, Antique Pink, Arctic Blue, Pastel Blue, Soft Green, Bright Green, Buttercup, Canary, Caramel, Cinnamon, Cocoa. Retired Couple stamped and aged using 'Tim Holtz Distress ink in Vintage Photo'. Large heart was cut using an 'X-cut' die, and coloured using 'Tim Holtz Distress ink' in .Squeezed Lemonade', spritzed with 'Perfect Pearl mist' in Forever Blue. Also used, 'Bazzill Basics Paper - Antique script, American Seam Binding, 'Tim holtz, Chit chat stickers' and a gem.

Thanks so much for sharing your work Pauline!
Check back in two weeks to see more beautiful work by her :)
