Cardabilities #66 up today and good news!

This morning I found out some wonderful news on the
Cardabilites post to share and from my wonderful friend Petra
who is on the team...... amazingly I won the prize this week!!
I never win so what a happy day this is for me.  Yay!!
(I won $25 dollars to get anything i want on SGD)

and there is a new sketch up today so I got all inspired from
my very, very happy news that I got and brought out some
papers that I had and made up a pretty wedding card
for 2 special friends getting married this spring!

I had these beautiful white, silver, grey and black papers
from Bella in Australia so I started by using the stripe for
the 5x5 card and layered the words over it in a strip and
cut up 2 pieces of the border paper to edge it...
I still wanted to see the backround words so I cut my Picot Edge
dies #3 & 4 by Spellbinders out of vellum and used 2 layers like
you would do a wedding cake.  Around that I put a ring of
rhinestones from Want2Scrap.  Then I cut lots of flowers from
white greenery from the Spellbinders Foliage die from white
cardstock. To give it a not so white look I distressed it with
a think layer of Platinum Planet Brilliance ink from Tsukineko.

In the middle of the flowers I added tiny roses I cut from MayArts
and then finished it with some beautiful bling from Prima!
Thanks Karen for another fun sketch and hope you all
join in because you never know... you might win too :)

I hope you like it and thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a very Happy New Year and I hope
that you are all blessed with good health and happiness
throughout the year!  Hugs and Smiles :)

Basic Grey Sketch

There is a new Basic Grey Sketch this week and it has
been way to long since I have played along and for this one it just
so happened that I had the perfect Basic Grey goodies to do it!

Here is the new sketch up....

And here is my page that I did...

I used the New Basic Grey Christmas line Aspen Frost and
lots of the stickers and new ready made garland that
matches just perfect.  I really love the pretty colors of
this collection and all the gorgeous stickers that come
with it.  I also added a few Spellbinders dies with my Ribbon
Banner die and the Poinsettia's die and it was just the perfect
addition for all the pretty reds in the papers.

I love using the sketches to get a quick page done
and now that the Holiday is over I can catch up with
some of the many photos I need to put in my own books.

I hope you all had a joyous holiday and I wish you
lots of wonderful blessings to come your way in 2013!

Lots of Hugs,  Teresa

Cardabilites #65

There are only 7 days left until Christmas and so far it has
been a wonderful few weeks!  I have been making a few
cards to give away and saw that they had a new sketch up
on Cardabilites so I thought I would join in and use
a few scraps I had in my stash.

This weeks sketch is below but since
I don't have that shape I used one of my
favorite dies from Spellbinders- Blossom Four
to cut out the LOTV image and the backround using
Doodlebug Christmas papers! To make the cards
glisten I used some Diamond stickles on them too!

I also made the flowers on both of the
cards using the layered Poinsettia die
from Spellbinders S5-055.  It's a beautiful
die and you can do them in so many colors
to decorate things for Christmas.  A great
tip for getting out intricate dies is to use
a bit of wax paper or parchment between the
die and the paper.  They pop out so easy with it!

I made another quick card and used a few
flags to put as a backround and added a pretty bow
and another tiny poinsettia on top.  I added stickles
on her coat to make her outfit shine and a fun
diamond embellishment from Prima on the flower.

Thanks for stopping over and have a very
blessed holiday and don't forget to hug
someone special today!!

LOTV Mermaids and Fairies

I taught a really fun class last night and we used
the new LOTV Mermaid and Fairy stamps that I ordered
and they are so adorable.  I loved picking all the pretty colors
for the mermaids and adding lots and lots of flowers
to them.  And we used lots of the New Spellbinders Dies
because they go perfect with these stamps!  I have 4 cards
to share with you today and hope you like them.....

I love the peachy/ salmon colors in this card and we went back
to basics this class and used Pebbles glittery chalks and
colored pencils to color these adorable little girls.  I used
Spellbinders Labels Twenty eight for the backround
and added diamond stickles over the chalks to make her glisten.
She is so cute and I love the seahorses and her shell crown!

For my second card I chose pretty shades of
purple in the Bazzill Basics dot papers and I
used Resplendent Rectangles and mixed it
with Floral Ovals to do my backround.  I stamped her on
my favorite Classic Ovals lg which fit perfectly in the middle
of the oval and I colored her with soft shades of lavender!
They liked this one the best .... and I think I really like it too!

We made a shaped card for this one by cutting
the main piece of card with the Spellbinders Grand Deco Circles.
On top of that I layered a pretty piece of aqua hawaiian
paper using the Lacey Circles die and used foam dots under it.
And finally I stamped her on Standard Circles LG and
colored her with pretty shades of aqua and coral.  I added a
pretty rose and glistening ribbons and a little bit of diamond
stickles to make her glisten too!

For these two little mermaids I chose a soft green
hawaiian paper and used the Lacey Circles die to
stamp them on in white. Another great product that we
used was Neenah paper.  That along with Tsukineko's Versafine Ink
in black and a little Ranger Detail Embossing Powder in clear
will give you really fine and clear stamped image to color.

All the ladies cards in class came out
gorgeous and each one was colored in a beautiful
and unique way.  It was a really fun class and I can't wait
to do another with the New Bear Release that just came out!

Thanks so much for stopping by and seeing what
I have to share and i hope
you all have a wonderful day...

cards with Echo parks This & That Christmas papers
and tags and some other things that i found around in my
stash this morning.

I think that I like the red bird on this one the best!

They are quick and easy and I mixed and matched
patterns and stickers and added some pretty red
bias ribbons. And now I have a few cards to send out!

Snowflakes and Resin

I have another fun project up on the Spellbinders Gallery
this week using my favorite snowflake dies
and this time I made a necklace using Basic Grey paper
and ICE Resin and lots of crystal beads...

To make this project you are going to cut out Spellbinders
Create a Flake Four Snowflakes and a Snowflake Pendant
out of blue cardstock and coat them both front and back with clear
ICE Resin and a foam brush and let them dry.
(With some papers they actually get a see through
effect that is really beautiful)  I also used Spellbinders Premium
Craft Foil in silver and cut more Spellbinders snowflakes and
also coated them with resin and added bits of glass glitter on it.
When all the pieces were dry I used jump rings and attached them along
with pretty crystal and silver beads to a pretty silver chain I bought.
It was really, really fun to make and it shows you that there is
alot more to these beautiful dies than just making cards with!

Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for stopping in!

Hugs and Smiles... Teresa

LOTV Bears

I was so excited this week when I opened the mailbox
and got my package from LOTV with my new mermaid
stamps.  They are sooooo cute and I can't wait to make
cards out of them.  But since we are in CHA mode I have
a few more things to finish and then hopefully I can
get some done for a class next week.. Yay!!!

So today I want to share a fun product that LOTV carries
and are colored by my favorite DT member on their team
Bev Rochester!!  How amazing is that!!

I made this super quick card with one of their pre-printed
cardstock sheets. See here.  I used a Spellbinders Labels One to
cut and emboss the photo and then matted it in red.  The papers
are from Basic Grey's 6x6 Christmas pad and of course
the beautiful snowflakes are from Spellbinders
Create a flake 3 and 4.  I added Diamond stickles on them
to make them glisten and put the sentiment inside.
Aren't the characters just so cute!

Here is a close up of the snowflakes so that you
can see how beautiful they are!

That's it for today but I will have some fun cards
from my Card Club Class I am teaching this weekend.
Thanks so much for stopping in :)

New File Folder Ideas to share

I finally got around to taking pictures of the 2 files folders
that I designed and taught for class last weekend.  We decided
to make one for Christmas and one for Disneyland since there are
so many of us with passes in the area.  Both of them had
lots and lots of little mini books and cascading picture
holders to fill up with lots of photos and journaling.
It was really, really fun to make!!

My first to share is Christmas and we used the New
Pink Paislee Christmas line and they got lots of stickers
and other goodies to use for the file....

I love how all the papers mixed so nice with
this set.  It's a little more nostalgic and the tags and
bits of things make it really fun to do!

Our second one is this super fun file made with
Pine Cone Press Disney inspired papers and I love
this because of the bright fun colors and you gotta
love the cute little mouse stickers and Mickey hands.

This line comes with lots and lots of tags and
stickers so I created lots of flaps and pockets to
store all of them in.  This also has an extra page
added in the back for even more photos which
all of us can use for all those character shots we get!

Our next 2 files are going to be Valentines and
a fun family outing file.... We can't wait to see what
they have at CHA for the next group of files to do!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and
don't forget to start those Christmas cards if you
haven't already!  Thanks so much for stopping in!

Fun New stamp from Hawaii

On my holiday in Hawaii i got the chance to stop by
a store in Hilo and see what fun things they had in their
beautiful store and I found these adorable stamps by
Stamp Sisters.  They are so cute and they had the most
beautiful Asian inspired papers to go with them.  So
of course I had to pick a few things up and today
and am going to share this one that I did with
the red and gold embossed paper that I bought.

For my card I used the new Spellbinders Asian Motifs to cut
the black piece for the back and the pretty red piece of metal.
I colored her with Copic pens and dotted her dress and the
flower in her hair with a little bit of Sparkle and Sprinkle glitter.
My favorite part is her hair and I learned a fun technique to use
a superfine marker to actually draw the tiny hairs over the Copics
and love how it works.  I need a little more practice but I really
like how it came out and you are going to love the quality
of these stamps if you get some! They are amazing!

So that is it for today but I wanted to wish all of you
a very Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow.  I hope you have a
wonderful and yummy fun day with family and friends and
thanks so very much for taking the time to stop by and
see what I have to share in my corner of the planet!  I
am very Thankful for all of you :)

Lots of Smiles and Hugs,

A little bit of Christmas

So I came back from a fun holiday and the first thing I heard
was 33 days until Christmas.  Eeeeek, has the time really gone by
that fast this year?  It feels like I just put everything away...
But... I love this season and I can't wait to start again so here
are 2 cards that I made to share today and hopefully I
can post more this week as I get more done!

I did some really fun embossing with this card
using Stampendous aged gold distress powders.
Did you know that you can sprinkle the powders on
the front with no ink and emboss on the back?
Well you can and you get the really pretty effect of
melted gold dots like you see below around the edges!
 It is really cool!
Around the outside edges I used a Versamark pen and
then sprinkled the powder on and heated it to match.

The Spellbinders dies I used are Lacey Circles,
mix so beautifully together and I really love the old
world effect on the paper that it gives my card.
This was really fun to make!

My second card today is a wallet card that you
can use for a photo or gift card or anything else
you might want to tuck inside to give as a gift.
The papers for this are from Basic Grey Christmas 2011
and I just adore the beautiful pointsettia's so I hand
cut lots of them out and made a pretty cluster on
the front to decorate it.  For the flap I rounded the
underneath piece of cream paper and then put
a matching piece of Beaded Circles that I cut and
embossed from Spellbinders. And to give it
even more texture I ran the front piece of paper in an
"Elegance"embossing folder and inked that up a little too..
The brad is from My Minds Eye :)

For the inside I used a Spellbinders Edgeabilites die
Classic Decorative Inserts Five and made the pockets.
I cut a few more flowers and added them on the
side and a little bit of gold stickles on the flowers.
This just says Christmas don't you think?

I hope you like my cards for today and I hope
you all have a wonderful day and get inspired to
start a few fun projects for yourself.  I am off to
teach 2 more file folders (Christmas and Disney)
this morning and will share those too....

Happy Card Making :)

Fall Bracelet with Shrink plastic

I have another fun project that I made up on the Spellbinders
website this week made from the New Fall Leaves dies, inks,
wire and some clear shrink plastic.  I really had fun doing this one
because i made the whole thing including the wire bracelet.

For this project I bent enough pieces of 20 gauge Beadalon
wire to go around my wrist and attached them together with
jump rings that I made.  Then I cut out lots and lots of
leaves with the Fall Foliage die S5-120 and used my
embossing gun to shrink the plastic.  (Be sure and punch
a small hole in them before you shrink it because the
plastic gets really hard after)  Then you can use lots
of inks to color both sides and rub it it good with a towel
and let them dry.  Then all you have to do is attach
them with jump rings and add a few rhinestones if you wish
and a fun closure of some kind to match.  And you could even
make earrings and a necklace to match, wouldn't that be fun!

These are so fun and easy to make and since the holidays
are coming up could you just picture them in cute holiday
shapes with lots of beads or maybe snowflakes?

Thanks so much for stopping in and sorry I haven't had
a post... we just got back from Hawaii and had a
wonderful time so I will share a few pictures in
a couple of days when I get all caught up!

Happy crafting to you!

Fun with Snowflakes

I just love making things with snowflakes and adding lots
of glitteryness to them!  Last year I did my whole diningroom
with a snowflake theme and it was so fun to have our meals
in the glittery white snowy decorations... so this year I am starting
early with some projects and I made an easy vase using a
piece of white vinyl and a fun card with a beautiful stamp
from Penny Black Christmas Release and of course lots
and lots of fun Spellbinders dies too!

I used lots of the New Spellbinders Snowflake dies that you can
see here.  They are Create a Flake 3 & 4 and the
Snowflake Pendant dies.  Gorgeous aren't they?

The Oracal vinyl cuts really easy in the Grand Caliber
and then you can just gently pull each of the snowflakes
off and arrange and stick them where you want.  I added
a little bit of extra diamond stickles and I think I am going to
make a really pretty white pointsettia arrangement with
icy sticks and put in it to decorate this year. The vinyl cuts
from the Spellbinders dies also work great on walls and mirrors too!!

So my next project to share with you today is
a card I made using a Penny Black stamp "Crystal Drops"
and embossed it with Watermark ink and Ranger
Seafoam white embossing powder.  I also used
a fun new die called Scalloped Labels One S4-375 to
make the borders and popped them up with foam dots.
For the bottom edge I cut and embossed a few little
snowflakes and glued them down to make a border
and then tied a pretty swirly white ribbon from
Creative Impressions. I also added super tiny rhinestones to
decorate my tree and a bit of stickles too.
 Another amazing die that you
are going to love to have is the Matting Basics S5-132.
This makes card making so easy and the back blue
piece is beautifully finished and embossed now.

Hope you like my fun little projects today and hope
you try a few for yourself.  I am sure as the season goes
on I will have lots more things to share with this :)

Have a blessed day!

Card Club for October

This was a really fun class to teach this month and it was
fun getting our inspiration going for Christmas even though
we have a couple of months ahead of us.  We made 5 cards,
a tag and they learned to make boxes for Christmas goodies too!

There was lots of embossing powder, ribbons and assorted other
things we used this month to glitz them up and I think that is
my favorite part of the season!!  Can't wait to start decorating
and get all my things ready to celebrate with my family...

This is one of my favorite stamps from Just Rite Stampers
and all the ladies loved that there were so many ornaments
to pick from and the designs fit perfect on the matching
Spellbinders dies....

That's all for today, i still have lots to make and share but
it's time to get ready for Halloween and lots of
Trick or Treaters so I hope you all have a safe and fun day!

Vintage Roses Purse with Spellbinders

I have another project in the gallery this week on
Spellbinders to share and this is one of my favorites
because I made lots of vintage roses and used my favorite
papers from my stash from Basic Grey!

I used the Grand Deco Circle dies to create this purse on
the fronts and backs and made a small box for the inside
to put a mini book or a special gift for someone. I also used
some vintage door handles for the base and they worked
perfect because they are so heavy and keep it nice and
flat.  Be sure and check here to see all the other dies
in the set because they are all so beautiful and you can make
so many things with them.  One can never have enough circles
to work with right?  Here is the list of products that I used:
Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms
Spellbinders Foliage
Spellbinders Carnation Creations
Spellbinders Grand Deco Circles
Spellbinders Grand Caliber
Metal Purse Handles, Kraft Cardstock, Scor-tape,
Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive, rhinestone swirls,
vintage door handles, chalk ink and ribbons. tweezers.

Thanks so much for stopping in and I have lots to share
with my new card club this month and lots of fun
things that I did for our Fall Open House at the store!

Have a wonderful day to you all,

New Heidi Swapp File Folders

Today I wanted to share 2 New File Folders that I
am doing for our next class at the store this Sat. We decided to
make this a monthly project so that by Christmas they
would have an entire File box done and can fill it with
things they needed to catch up on this year!

Our first File this time is "Family Themed" and we
are using lots of Pink Paislee papers and Heidi Swapp
embellies to finish it.  I can't tell you have fun it
is to make these and they hold so many pictures and
you have lots and lots of room for stories so that
part couldn't be better.  And I love the blues and yellows
of the Indigo Blue line, it's very, very pretty!

This is a few shots of the "All about Me File".
This is great for girls of all ages and I used some
fun Hero Arts stamps that I had all around in the
mini files.  This is very colorful and fun and I went
a little crazy with the book but it was very fun to do!!

Next time we are doing a Disney File and a Christmas
File so be sure and stop back to see sneak peaks of those!

Have a great day and hope you got inspired
to make some of these for yourself!

Victorian Card Class

I taught such a fun class Sat. with the ladies and
they got to make lots of Spellbinders Victorian cards with lots of
lace and pearls and bits of ribbons too.  We made 5 in our class
and their favorites were the black and white card and the tea card...
and they just happened to be my favorites too :)

For this card we used the Grand Deco Ovals smallest piece
to make the backround and we made some flowers with
Carnation Creations out of white card stock and pearls.  And I used
a small oval die Beaded Ovals for the sentiment and
finally the dress form in black Bazzill from
the dies I used on my Paris card the other day (French Frills).
I love the simplicity of this card because you
could really do any sentiment for it for any occasion....

Since I love afternoon Tea and coffee this is also one of my
favorites of the bunch.  I used Darsie's tea stamp set
and to make the tea cup and stamped it with Archival ink in brown
and used lots of foam dots to pop it up.  The dies are from
Spellbinders Antique Frames and Accents and
I think my favorite part is the steam and for this i used a swirl piece
from the new Jewels Flowers and Flourishes Die set and added Stickles
to make it shine a little. I should have made the flower but we
were pressed for time and just used a ready made one with a bit of netting.
Still love it though and the colors are so pretty and fall looking.

The papers on this card are from Bella and I used only
one piece of paper and one die for it (Decorative Labels Eight).
The paper has a beautiful side on front and back so I used it for the
back round and for the pop ups on the front.  The flowers are from Prima
and the little foliage is from Spellbinders Foliage1.  I love
netting and used it to tie bows and add little bits of
it with the lace and flowers and I love the feminine feel it
gives to all the cards.

Lastly we had to use Bitty Blossoms to make a few roses
for a card and the ladies had lots of fun with this new
Summer release die Decorative Labels Twenty-Seven
that we cut in Bo Bunny dot and layered on a pretty piece of Graphic 45.
The lace is from my stash when I used to go to the Jessica McClintock
warehouse along time ago and it worked perfect for this card.
I could really use some more sentiment stamps and I think that
we are going to order some more in for the store soon
so that will be great for us!

Thanks so much for stopping over and I hope that
I have lots of ideas to inspire you today with some
of the New Dies out from Spellbinders.

Hugs and Smiles :)
