"If you were born without wings, do nothing to prevent them from growing."  -Coco Chanel

                                                                            Daily Show (sold)
                                                20 x 16 watercolor on 300lb watercolor paper

This one was finished just in time to hang it in my exhibit at Glen Vista Gallery, Kalamazoo Nature Center.  I am the solo artist and the show runs through September.  I am honored and thrilled and can't believe it.  Seems surreal to walk into a gallery and see my paintings.

PEONY MINI (sold)
7 X 7 on 300lb watercolor
Happy New Year...a day late. No excuses, just lovin' family here for the holidays and they took front seat to art. I have cut lots of paper to 7 x 7 to encourage me to get in there and paint, seems smaller is not so intimidating. Here is one I did today.

SUNFLOWER TEARS

12/15/2008

I slid all the way to Meijer early this morning for milk (why do I never have milk when there is a storm?) and vowed to remain inside. The wind is constant and the cold is bitter and I am hibernating today instead of stocking shopping as planned. I am posting as close to a Christmas painting as I have ever done.

Poinsettias

I am back and with a new internet server. Hoping that I can post easier and get pictures on faster. A very recent painting of sunflowers.

This is a watercolor I painted and donated to D'art for Art, a charity to support the arts in Petoskey. I like it very much. This started out as an experiment painting on watercolor paper covered with matte medium (or was it gesso?) which I didn't like so rinsed it off in the shower. I loved the background I was left with so "found" this bunch of flowers.
