ever noticed how excruciatingly slow time passes when you’re waiting (in anticipation) for something? last week was the longest week of my life. today felt even longer than the whole of last week put together. if time goes by any slower, it’d be moving backwards ><

"i think. e world needs to change the working hours. working 5 day week and 8 hours a day is sad. imagine we spend 8 hours, which is 1/3 of a day working. 1 hour lunch + travelling to and fro from work should also be counted as work, bcos its work-related. tt's like 10hours a day at least (excluding OT)! and if we need to sleep 8 hours per day, we are only left with 6 hours to play. booo. y should play time be lesser than work time. zzzz."

i totally agree. so i told her to bring it up with either the ministry of manpower, or labour unions around the world. i think this proposal would be a huge hit! xD

i've watched a good number of matches this world cup, cheered passionately for a couple of teams and got a tad too emotionally involved with others. i've seen teams on the attack, where the players build up an awesome momentum and break away. a goal seems imminent and you're on your feet ready to cheer when all of a sudden, they lose possesion. it may be due to a slip of the foot, a lapse in concentration or inaccurate passing that sends the ball back into the welcoming feet of their opponents. just like that, all they have worked to achieve up to that moment gets cancelled out as the ball heads in the opposite direction.

how many times in life do we allow one small misjudgement, a tiny lapse in concentration or an unintentional slip of the foot to unravel all we've worked so hard to achieve?

the final grade on your academic transcript. your career. your reputation. the relationships you invested into. your spiritual walk.

some teams get to redeem themselves. other teams aren't quite as lucky.

don't allow that single moment of folly to cost you the entire match.

no saturday night is better spent than in the pleasure of germany and argentina's company, alongside a few dozen others :) it was so incredibly hard to pick out who was supporting who from the crowd. we screamed in unison regardless of which team attacked, which team shot wide, and which team defended. between keeping my eyes glued to the screen, texting celebratory messages and wolfing down dinner, i was one busy camper.

i really really really like ozil. and i've no idea why.

thank you germany, for earning me a nandos meal! ;)

the anti-climax part of tonight: i have approximately 2000 words to type before 10pm :( and it is not helping that the only words running through my mind now are soccer related!
