i meant to write this entry to coincide with the Christmas season (because christmas is all about the givings and blessings), but i was way too distracted the past few days for some reason. oh well, better late than never no? :)
it's just something that spoke to me a week or so ago when i was settling into bed.
we can never outgive God (Malachi 3:10 - Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.). we as followers of Christ know that we are called to be faithful with our finances (or blessings). pastors preach this in sermons, before the bags go around for the moment of tithing, before we pledge faith givings.
but i think so often, we give (not just money) simply because we are under the wrong motivation. we give with an expectation. we give because we want to be blessed in return. we give in hope God sees our actions (instead of what is in our hearts) and channel His blessings our way.
His promises really shouldn't be taken in that light. instead of giving with the ultimate desire to be blessed in return, that promise should serve as a motivation to give simply because we can. that promise is knowledge our Heavenly Father has us covered and we can afford to be generous without fearing we will be unable to meet our own needs. because He is our ultimate provider. because He is faithful.
so. anyone need to start giving? =P

in hindsight, i am regretting my decision to not go ahead with the antibiotics option sigh. the doctor was right in saying my throat was in the beginning stages of inflammation (even though it didn't feel like that just then).

i realised tonight australia has really good customer service. it probably extends from the fact their system is so much more flexible (unlike singapore's where they go by the book for everything), so much so they can bend the rules a little bit to suit my situation for a little while. gosh. i miss aussie.
taking that first step all over again is somewhat terrifying. it feels like i jumped off a plane 13,000 feet off the ground with a parachute that has more than a 95% chance of working, provided all the mechanisms that were fitted in place work the exact moment i pull the cord to release it. i only pray i don't end up bruised and battered should this fail. again.
but i trust this as a window He has opened up for me. for us. and that this time, He will work things out for His glory. :)
a random note. krispy kreme donuts are not yummy. they give you diabetes. =P
another random note. my laugh lines increase with every hour i spend in eny's presence.

i'm down with a severe case of wanderlust. and i fear i won't get to see/visit as much of this earth as i would like to.
but upon reading revelation 21:22-26, i realise i have the rest of eternity to discover something more beautiful than creation itself. my Creator :)
i do hope God gives me a camera though. i'd love to run through heaven trigger happy. XD
