was out with ting n ber.. n she bought some nail polish.. forgot how we got e idea of painting nails in macdonalds.. but i let ber tried putting on nail polish for me. not bad for his virgin try :P

okie, quick updates for the benefit of those scattered around the globe (urmm apologies for sounding a little swell-headed here, actually thinking there might be people who would be interested ><).

so i got the call i was waiting for, but it's still back to square one with regards to my job search.. i'm gonna be a lot more selective now when it comes to applying for jobs. am fed up with wasting my time at interviews and all, only to find out it's not something i want. possible interview next tuesday, but first, i gotta do some research on the company to make sure it's not some finance con-job scheme or direct marketing/strictly sales stuff.

my grand plan for now, which i came up at 4.18am this morning (coz i couldn't sleep) is this: if i can't get something i want/don't mind by aug 1st, i'd go back to australia.

euro update: i won my bet! whoohoo! spain won (it wasn't a glorified win.. so i shall be nice to hui and let her off =P)! my prediction - germany versus spain in the finals, with germany clinching the title (though why i'm supporting the country that got portugal kicked out is beyond me).

ok off to shower. meeting the girls (sex and the city style) for dinner. =)

life is, at this present moment, blah. actually scrape that. it is very very VERY blah.

all i've achieved this week (in relation to my non-existent career life) is sitting around waiting for a call that doesn't seem to be coming. i've gotten so paranoid i'm checking my phone every other minute, just to make sure i didn't miss something. this sucks. and i don't even know if i actually do want that particular job (or, in this case, a second interview) that bad.

and for that matter, i don't even know where i want to be. australia? singapore? or maybe camping out along the amazon river, making friends with the rattlesnakes and six-legged creatures that roam this earth?

in my desperate attempt to escape from the realities of life, i've been having a "sex and the city" marathon with a bottle of water and a bag of chips.

what would i give, to have to only worry about whether or not my grades are up to mark, whether or not an assignment will keep me up all night and whether or not the jetstar sale will coincide with my holidays.

for probably the zillionth time this year, i wish God could just drop a map with very specific directions into my hands. or maybe someone can pen an instruction manual for this very complicated thing called "life" (i mean, if something as simple as a vacuum cleaner has an instruction booklet, what more something as uncertain as this eating-sleeping-living routine?).

i sense it's all about taking a mega leap of faith off a very steep cliff. only question here is, do i have enough courage to do so?

wanted to get this on time for augus for our anniversary but din make it on time. had to buy from someone from yahoo auctions in hk. heng got ping chung help me! :D so hence, a belated pressie for augus. actually arrived last week :)

unazukin anniversay version!! ahhh augus and i love unazukins. sooo cute!! i wan to collect ALL! got different version one leh.. fruit version, wedding version, anniversay version, world version, etc.. this version quite difficult to find sia. finally its mine! kinda in a blogging mood today

went shopping with ting yesterday! n i managed to hoot a top, a v cute patchwork pair of shorts, and a scarf. yes u gonna ask me wth, so hot in sg y buy scarf. well.. accessorize la :P

got e shorts and scarf from e same shop. actually initially i was trying to shorts nia, decided to get it already. then e owner let me try one of their t-shirts and she suggested putting a scarf around my neck. n i think its like a totally different style. still didnt have e tot of getting e scarf. but after i came out from e fitting room, ting was like "so how?" to which i answered, "ya getting e shorts". n then she tempted me!! by saying "sure?? not gettign e scarf? i think u look quite cute/good". wah!! she tempt me!! n in e end i got it. hahaha cos i trust her taste! :D but now i abit dun dare to wear e scarf. man i need courage. hahaha.. but who cares, i can still use it for my japan trip! :D

got another "weird" looking top aso.. from another shop. after tt met up with augus at e mrt station n i showed him my stuffs.. b4 tt i was telling ting augus sure would think e clothes look ugly/funny. n indeed, he gave a v funny/weird/cute expression on his face. hahahah

okkkkk i'm going to give my virgin trip to a malay wedding to a poly friend this sunday. actually im not invited :P but brother jana and e rest wan me to go. and on brother jana's card, it says she can bring a partner. and she gonna bring me. LOL.. i thick skin hor? i gonna be brother's partner!! sound so les la..

so, now, ckc, jess, bro and me are on msn chatting.. discussing abt sunday.. how to go etc.. n aso how much green packet money to give.. wah lao.. nonsense in msn sia..

i was asking, if there is any color that is considered as not auspicsious to wear to a malay wedding, and so e conversation goes like this:

wheeee~~ got my camera back! haha so that's e surprise kelen has for me :P heng sia, now no need to buy new camera. can save more money for japan! more budget for me to shop there. but scully nothing to buy one. haha

met up with ting, shan, ber and kelen on wed at suntec... had dinner and desserts at ben n jerry's. and here, im gonna tell u one of my most embarassed moments in my life so far. n i would like to blame ber, for not telling me b4hand. hahahah and aso ting, who allowed me to do so! :P kidding. anyways, let me share e story...

ok.. we all went ben and jerry at suntec. ting and me decided to share e ice-cream while e other 3 share their own one la. so they 3 ordered, and they went out to sit. then ting and me went order. inside e shop got an angmoh and an ABC deciding on wat to have and perhaps were making their orders. while e ben n jerry person was preparing our ice-cream, i went to e "water counter" to pour water for e gang. but the jug is empty, no more water liao. n on e table got this bottle of evian water. then i was thinking... ben n jerry wun be so nice to buy evian water right... but i was thinking... maybe jus to hold water la. i DID think tt e bottle belong the e ang moh/ABC (they are friends). but i tot no one would be so silly to put their bottle there. i asked ting can pour or not, scully belong to e angmoh.

me: hey, this water can drink or not huh?
ting: can bah
me: really ah? scully not ben n jerry one
ting: but its placed here!
me: maybe belong to someone else one leh?
ting: huh belong to who?
me: those 2 ppl ordering ice-cream lor
ting: huh, no kua. should be can pour
me: huh really ah? scully i open e bottle then e person come tell me is his. haha
ting: should be ok one la

ok lor so i happily poured and ting and me bring e cups outside. hahaha.. then to my horror... ber told me "do u noe tt e evian water DO NOT belong to ben n jerry?" i was like SHIT DAMNIT, it really dun belong to ben n jerry. and i looked up n saw e angmoh carrying e bottle. i was like "OH NO, SORRY!!!" to the guy. i jus cannot stop laffing. then e guy said "no its ok " then everyone was laffing la. then e ABC was like saying to e angmoh "wat did u do?" then everyone laff even more. actually i wanted to say i stole his water. LOL... my ears were v hot la, i can feel the heat in my ears. super paiseh. i jus kept saying sorry and laff. hahaha.. then.. i asked ber how he knew tt e water dun belong to ben n jerry.

me: hey how did u noe e water belong to them?
ber: becos i tried to take aso.

HAHAHAHA

me: hahahha then?
ber: then he turned and tell e water belong to him but can still take. so of cos i nv take la
me: wah lao then y u nv tell me???
ber: too late liao lor. when ting came out with e cups, i first tot was 'wah, so fast they have refilled e water already?' but then after tt i took a look at the bottle, e water level dropped alot. then i noe sure is from that bottle liao..

then ber added... actually quite silly of them to put there in e first place, and aso more silly of them to not take e bottle away esp ber already tried to take from e counter

ok.. then we started to eat our ice-cream lar.. n shan was like wan to fight with everyone for e ice-cream.. she said if no one fight to eat then will be boring.. and she wun find it as nice.. this is not e highlight of wat she said yet. we continued to joke abt e evian water thing and ber said shan should have preached to e guy abt sharing stuffs etc (i kinda forgot e story, but abt preaching to e guy obe la). and she said ber is evil

n all along no one drink e water i poured from e evian bottle. haha.. then suddenly after laffing so much, i realised e water level in kelen's cup dropped.

me: oie kelen! i tot u say dun wan drink one? y u drink? see, we all nv drink
kelen: ehhh.. oops. e ice-cream is too sweet.. and i laff too much.. so i forgot.. got water here so i jus shun bian drink..

n then after tt we all started to drink. hahaha

btw augus said im brave -_- becos i dare to steal and take other ppl's water :P

the total irony in life is that after spending my entire uni career hating finance, my first job offer happens to be from a company in the finance industry.

sure, there's still marketing involved, but it's marketing financial bonds. you should have seen my face fall.

two interviews with them, one with a top management (and now they want me to meet the directors ahhhh!) and i still don't know what the company is doing (i tune out everytime someone talks finance with me).

AND i would even need to clear TWO finance exams (which the company is very happy to sponsor)! like hello!??? i skipped all my finance lectures in year one, only cramming for finals the weekend before the paper (and was lucky enough to somehow pass). how the heck am i gonna survive this? all the study materials they gave me are sitting happy on the table right now after i gingerly poked at them.

so now, someone quick help me think of how to reject this offer. i'm so traumatised it's not funny, and jiehui's not helping matters by laughing at me -_-

another marketing interview tomorrow. please please please please please let it not have anything to do with the finance industry.
