Happy Juneteenth! Original Big Eye Black Garden Guardian Angel Fairy Fantasy Lowbrow Surreal Painting!

Happy Juneteenth from this big eye garden guardian and from me at lisabellarusso.com!

This is "Orchid Intrigue," an original big eye black garden guardian painting.  I painted it for Diversity and Inclusion: The Influence of African-American Art in Southern California at the Ontario Museum of Art Exhibit.  She has a blue hued orchid upon her head.  In some traditional African American gardens, blue bottles are hung as blue is considered a protective color.  She shares the depth of her emotions through her big luminous eyes.  This original painting is available as are art prints and LE ACEO prints, however I have yet to remove her from her frame add her to my website, but you may contact me if you're interested in her.  The art has a painterly lowbrow avant garde surreal feel.

Juneteenth just became a legal holiday this very year.  It is a celebration of the end of slavery in Texas and in favor of freedom throughout the land.  In my art, I strive to celebrate what is beautiful.  Freedom is so beautiful, I hope your day is amazing...
